We stayed for two nights because our G Adventure tour started here. Maybe we were unlucky as we seemed to have the worst room. As reported by some reviewers, mildew in the bathroom. It flooded easily when we had our shower. The room really required some renovation. The location is good but there may be better options in the neighbourhood.... More

Nice and clean hotel with great central location: close to the shops, restaurants and underground station. Higher floors with better views. We used one of the boardroom - clean and specious - welcoming environment. Not all the staff spoke English - but all were very polite and efficient.

This hotel is nothing special. The rooms are clean but not modern. The beds are on the hard side, but that is common in China. The wifi is free but you need to pay a deposit to get a router. The best thing is the location: it is centrally located, right beside a subway stop and not far from attractions... More

I've stayed quite a few times at this hotel but the last time was some 6 years ago. Its a long time for a chinese hotel and once renovated rooms had became worn out. However there was ongoing renovation at upstair floors like (7-12 or smth) so ask for one. The best features of the hotel are its location and... More

The rooms were great, I really like my time at the Chong Wen Men Hotel even though it was short (three nights). Internet wasn't too expensive but has free wifi in lobby and in the really expensive cafe thing in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was absolutely great, there was everything from Chinese and Western to actual good coffee and... More

The rooms were ok. The hotel was fine. Wifi only in the downstairs lobby. But my main memories are the toilet on the ground floor was in a disgusting state for a hotel and stayed like that for the whole day. When "queuing" to check out the Chinese people push past and staff serve everyone else first and leave the... More

I stayed at the Chong Wen Men Hotel for four nights in October. I joined a G adventure tour here which requires you to share with another traveller on tour nights, unless you have paid extra. On arrival I had paid extra and booked my own room for one night prior to the tour starting. However, I was advised that... More

I stayed here with a G adventures tour. So I probably would not have picked this place to stay in. Saying that it was not a bad option. it is very close to the subway and shops nearby. There is a few places to eat nearby and a good bakery around the corner. There is also a supermarket nearby where... More

Apparently all beds in China tend to be very hard. Wish GAdventures gave thus heads up in the "before you go" notes so you could prepare and buy a travel pad. We started here and usually first & last hotels on these trips are the best. So if that is the case became concerned. Net net haven't really slept in... More

Very near the main railway station in Central Beijing but surprisingly quiet. The normal Chinese efficiency without being friendly. Does forex. The rooms were good with modern working bathrooms. The side street along by the hotel has an excellent, if sometimes noisy, Chinese restaurant. Breakfast is ok. There is no bar or coffee shop. But who wants to stay in... More
