I recently stayed here as part of a g adventures tour. While the international hotel across the road is available at the same rate and a better standard hotel This is a chinese hitel which is why I assume gadv use it. My room had a huge bay window and in temperatures of minus two the room was superbly heated...even... More

Beijing in early October is hot, humid, and polluted. After a day's outing there's nothing worse than returning to a hotel room that's un-airconditioned. Our window had a lock which prevented it from being opened more than 4". There was construction noise from an adjacent site throughout the night. I'm not a whiny, spoiled American who needs all the accoutrements... More

Here, like half of the World with G as part of a tour. This is their base hotel for the start of tours, and you can see why. But, I normally travel independently and if you are one of those travellers, then this is certainly a place worth considering. The prime reason is location - a couple of stops on... More

This hotel is located within walking distance of several Tourist sites (Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Lama Temple, Pearl Market). Public transportation, the subway, can get you to the rest of them. The subway is located less than 50 meters from the front door of the hotel. This is a good hotel to use as a "base camp" for touring... More

Stayed here for two nights recently as part of a G Adventures tour. This place is pretty average and what I would consider to be at the lower end of the three star hotel spectrum. The hotel is older style and quite run down. The rooms are a bit damp (despite quite a few windows for light) and smoky, we... More

Like a lot of people posting on this forum, I stayed here as part of a G Adventures China tour. It has the advantage of a convenient location with lots of malls and restaurants nearby and the metro station right in front. It's close to the Forbidden City and the other central tourist sights. It's a tower so you have... More

You can't miss it location wise on the corner of Chong wen men road. The rooms are spacious however I was allowed to check into mine before it was cleaned, had to ask a few times to get it cleaned! The wifi is really strong which is a good bonus. Slightly concerned on the lack of communication from the hotel... More

The room was clean and had a safe/fridge/Wifi/TV and all the other basics that you need. Location - close enough to everything and the subway is right outside. Staff - efficient and some simple English. (Very simple)

The hotel is located close to shops, restaurants and public transportation and just a short walk from the park surrounding the remains of the old city wall. I traveled with a group but had a single room, it was comfortable and clean, the staff helpful and spoke English at the front desk. Breakfast wasn't included but the buffet offered in... More
