We moved to this hotel after staying at a nearby hostel. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel (for the price we paid). It was very clean, breakfast was reasonably priced. We had our own bathroom (which was a relief as the shared one we had at previous hostel was shabby) The location was great close to many attractions and... More

I came to Beijing at 6 a.m. and then I left at 9 p.m. The Kings Joy Hostel was my perfect solution. First of all you can check-in from 8 a.m. Then the shared room was very clean, quite big and had its own bathroom. All staff (especially the young girl Lucia in lobby downstair) were very helpful. Moreover the... More

We spent 3 nights at the King's Joy hotel, in a double room. The hotel is very well located in a pleasant & touristic neighborhood, a few minutes walking from Qianmen subway station & ten minutes from the Forbidden City & Tiananmen Square. The room was simple but clean and convenient. Breakfast was cheap (15cny) but decent. Most of the... More

This hotel is in a great location near the metro, and surrounded by Hutongs. Taxi had no problem finding it (which is a often a problem in Beijing). Walking distance to Tiananmen Square, shopping and a lot of great restaurants - both expensive and cheap options. The room was super clean. I booked a single room but there wasn't any... More

Hotel is fairly central for Tiananmenn Square, etc..only about 20 mins walk. Hotel is on a busy main street...plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Rooms are good. The only negative really is the WiFi access...there is access to free WiFi, but only in the lobby/reception area of the hotel....so teh lobby is always a bit packed with people tinkering with... The hotel is very basic, but the location is great as others have stated. The WiFi only works in the lobby, so there is always dozens of people hanging out in the lobby on their phones and laptops. The rooms are small but comfortable. Wish they had safes in the room. Has a hot water maker but no fridge. The... More

I stayed in a normal 6-beds room. It was good and clean and roommates were friendly. Price can be expensive when compared to hostels in China outside Beijing... but compared to the relatively higher prices of Beijing than the rest of China, it can be considered as a hostel of a good price. Wifi is limited in the lobby only.... More

I stayed in the shared rooms and everything was perfect clean and safe. The room was a double room with shared bathroom for 6 people, so there was much space. The safety box is in the lobby and cost 1 rmb to open each time. The WiFi is good and works just in the lobby. I stayed on 1 floor... More

Location is great, rooms are basic and wifi is available. Good hotel for bagpackers or people on a low budget! Easy to find from metrostation as well. If you need a nice place to stay for a nice price than this hotel is a very good option.

The room was nice enough. It wasn't perfect and there were many things that could have been better. But for the price they ask you (~250 RMB/night for a single person in a double room) it's perfect! Especially considering that it's in a perfect location to eat, get a drink, it's 3 minutes walk away from Tienanmen and exactly in... More
