Stayed at the lush St regis before coming here and were still very happy with this place in terms of location, service, amenities and authentic feel. We wanted a place close to all the amenities and yet gave us a feel for a hutong Hotel Cote Cour did all that and we were very happy great little restaurants at both... More

There is something very special about staying in a 500 year old Hutong that used to house the palace musicians. Cote Cour is quiet, lovely, and authentic. The service is all smiles, and Tina went the extra mile to make sure my stay way delightful. It's my first choice when traveling to Beijing.

I stayed here in March for 3 days, and it was an amazing experience. Sharon and the team there are an absolute delight. The rooms were very tastefully decorated, and the hotel itself is very cosy, very romantic. Breakfast is delicious, not the usual buffet style, but served to your table. Its located in a hutong, which is surrounded by... More

This is a really lovely little hotel. Very traditional. We booked because of the good reviews on trip advisor and weren't dissapointed. Hotel is located in the middle of a 'hutong' (chinese street) and can be hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. Once inside the front gate it is quiet and peaceful. Rooms are quite... More

A nice, quiet boutique hotel. General comments: - tucked away down a very narrow lane. It is not easy to find the first time but once you get your bearings it is fine. Reasonably close to shops restaurants. - bedrooms are not the biggest. - free Wi-Fi throughout hotel and in bedrooms - breakfast is freshly cooked every morning. Not... More

This Hutong hotel constituted a very pleasant surprise during our stay in Beijing. It's well located in town and reasonably priced. But most commendable for the amazingly friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend the place highly

SHOCK, HORROR. Smiling, friendly hotel staff in China. No need to blink or rub your eyes because it's true. Such a change from the usual miserable front office staff in big hotels who deploy only functionality and have no charm, communication or welcoming skills. This hotel, tucked away in a tiny side street, goes against the usual Chinese grain. As... More

We feel sorry that you were a little disappointed about the limited variety in breakfast we provided and the size of our standard bedrooms. We have tried to make a diverse selection of food. I had been staying on business in Beijing at a large international hotel which was wonderful but I could really have been anywhere in the world. For the holiday part of my trip when my husband arrived, we moved to the Hotel Cote Cour which is in the hutongs (alleyways) of old Beijing. I am so pleased we made this... More

Charming, quiet (in January) and a little cold at times but not surprising given the courtyard style and -10 degrees C at night. Plenty of hot water though which was good. The staff are extremely helpful, allowing me to check in at 6am without charge (check first) and helping me to the main road with my luggage to find a... More
