We had an excellent stay in the SiHe hotel in December 2014. Everything we needed was provided for including free airport transfers, breakfasts and comfortable rooms. The girls on the desk were extremely helpful, even helping us with some Mandarin language correction to help us when out and about. While it was very cold outside the rooms were very warm.... More

We landed at Beijing airport after an overnight flight and were picked up by their driver without any hassles. I'd advise booking in advance for their complimentary hotel transfers as they seem to have only one driver. At the hotel, we were greeted by a lovely english speaking receptionist who provided us with a map and useful locations. She also... More

If you are looking for a traditional Beijing hotel that is not a budget buster this is it. The hotel is tucked away on a very narrow street, which for us added to the charm of the hotel. We arranged for the free airport pickup via hotel email in advance. The driver got us right to the corner of the... More

We were a family of 3 (2 parents 1 teenage girl) and stayed here 2 nights in Dec 2014 in a Deluxe room with a grand double bed and another single. Quaint setup with traditional Courtyard style, central location close (15 min walk) to Forbidden city and Wanfujing and Dongsi metro station. Its located in a narrow Hutong, adjoining buildings... I visited the Sihe courtyard hotel in December 2014 for the 3rd time. The first time in 2008, during the Olympics, the second time in 2011 at the start of a 6 months stay in China and now we were back at the end of 3 weeks studying Chinese in Beijing. It's a great place, with a fantastic tiny courtyard,... More

This is a quaint hotel in a 'hutong' in Beijing. The hotel provided great service, was clean and comfortable, and overall exceeded our expectations. The location is great and is only a 10-15 minute walk from Wanfujing and 5 minutes from the subway. The rooms have a traditional style to them. We were given a free upgrade on arrival and... More

We spent the first three days here on a family holiday in China (in August 2013) and it was a great introduction to the country. It is located in an atmospheric and quiet hutong but still within walking distance of the Forbidden city (as well as being close to the metro). The family room we were given was very nice,... More

We didn't know what a futong was before arriving in Beijing, so we had a great cultural experience at this hotel, which is located in one. The old Chinese character of the courtyard was fun, the brocade bedspreads and old lacquered furniture were beautiful, and we loved the red satin blankets hung over thebedroom doors to keep out the chill.... We wanted to get a feel of the real China and this was certainly the place to achieve it. Located in a narrow hutong, it was quiet. The rooms are all located off courtyards within the hotel, very quaint. The beds are traditional and comfortable. The rooms are decorated traditionally and water is provided each day. Breakfast was a choice... More

The place is in the heart of this historic city with unexpectly nice and quiet surroundings. We spent few days in the cozy season of Beijing there, feel like living at remote area of some regional cities but enjoying great local snack foods and shopping town close by. Also the service there is so traditional and classic too make you... More
