The hotel is very well placed, close to the commercial area of Xidan in the heart of Beijing. A couple of subway stations were within about 200 m, the National Center for Performing Arts (the "Drop") was within walking distance, and Tian An Men square could be reached by a 10 min walk. The room was ok, and the breakfast... more

I stayed at the Grand Mercure as a result of the reviews on Tripadvisor.com. Overall I think this is a good choice for a 4-star hotel, but on the other hand it's nothing to rave about. I would consider staying here again if the price is right, but would easily consider other options as well. First of all, ignore the... more

The Location: The location is just right. To the right of the hotel is a church. To the left would be different malls. Although its a 10-20 minute walk. It is also near Tian'anmen Square Upon entering the place You are greeted with a posh lobby. The bell boys are helpful and very kind. The staff at the front desk... more

I stayed in the Grand Mercure Hotel for about 3days,during which time I feel it is really a good place to live. First, the service lady is kind and honest. I left my car key in the wash room when I went out for a walk after a bath. The time I went back ,I saw the key was just... more

The hotel location is very important to me because my trip always be about a week stay but only 2 days business, so I need to find a fabulous venue for me to take a break from the hard working every day when I was in the company. From my point of view, every hotel have something in common, whether... more

I stayed here for 2 nights last week, and I would certainly recommend the hotel. The property is well-maintained, and the staff are extremely helpful. The restaurant serves plain, but reasonable, food. I especially like the location. You can walk to Tienanmen Sq/Forbidden City in 10-15 minutes, and the walk is along a pleasant hutong. The hotel is also just... more

Not only biz purpose but also there are many tourist attractions closeby as such Tianan'men Square/Forbidden City/Antique Market(Liulichang)/Qianmen street etc... Those who would like to use a public transportation can easily access to line number 1... more

This lovely hotel has a great location in walking distance from the Forbidden City,Tiananmen Square and 2 subway lines. The rooms are modern, clean and well maintained. There is a nice and cheery breakfast restaurant - western and chinese options. The reception staff are friendly and helpful although some have limited English. There is a lovely foyer and the 4... more
