We spent 3 nights at this hotel, and I can say the published images do not correspond to the actual state. First of all, the hotel is in a small and jammed alley that the bus drivers hate, so we were forced to carry our own luggage from the main street to the hotel door. The bathroom was full of... More

Maybe it's just everywhere I have been but clearly the Chinese do not know how to do customer service. I have stayed here for 2 reasons only and that is the location and it's fairly cheap if you book online. My room is tiny and the air in does not work the walls could do with a paint job. The... More

We also stayed here in 2012, and in the two years since, the hotel is in decline. They ARE renovating, so when they are done.... The hotel is cheap, dirty, smelly, relatively good shower in a dark, dank bathroom. I know it's cheap, and you do get what you pay for. A/C and Mosquitos: The A/C (typical of cheap hotels... More

I can't really complain. After living in China for almost six years, I knew exactly what I was going to get at this price point. The carpet looked like a massive Rorschach ink blot, the paint on the walls was multi tone in spots and just filthy in other spots. The breakfast was over priced for China and extremely local... Beijing like many large Chinese cities have tons of alleyways. This place is in the middle of one. It is within walking distance to the subway and close to Ghost Street. The alleys comes to life at night with numerous small eateries. Some specializing in seafood and others is Beijing BBQ. There is a well-known roast duck restaurant (Hua's Restaurant)... More

Upon entering the hotel bad smell of sewer gas. The staff was rude. Rooms was dirty and strong smell of sewer gas that represented a big health risk factor. Location was good. Breakfast was ok. I would not recommend this hotel.

My wife and I are Americans who stayed at this hotel for a week while on vacation in Beijing during Sept'13. I liked the location of this hotel as it is very close to some hutongs which really lets you see how the locals live and eat. Also, the closest metro is only about 0.6 miles from the hotel. It... This hotel is old, and in need of some updating, and cleaning. But its defiantly a great affordable stay for a few nights. They have decent staff that speak english ( which is always helpful) and the breakfast is a buffet with western food options. The best part about this hotel is its location. Located just 1 street behind "... More

I'm an American traveler that was going through Asia and trying to maintain safety and cleanliness while on a reasonable budget.... There are some rather annoying problems to contest with that may make you want to check around. The a/c doesn't really work. I was with a large group and no one could get their room below 80 degrees F... More

The hotel staff were not friendly upon arrival into the hotel and hardly any english was spoken. We were not left feeling welcome at all. For a cheaper hotel I guess that's what you get. The rooms are really average, you can get more for your money in Shanghai. The food in the restaurant looked average. There are no lighting... More
