On the whole we enjoyed this place but here are a few points to note: - This place is tiny with only 4 rooms. Means you have to share the breakfast room with other occupants or wait your turn in the cold until the other guests are done. Also you may hear/see what the other guests are up to along... more

We stayed at Mao'er b&b for 3 days and those were the best among all our trips!! The place has a cozy and comfortable feel to it. Angela is an angel! She is ever ready to answer any query that we may have. Besides arranging for the tours, she would accompany us to the tour bus pick up point down... more

I stayed at Maoer with my fiance for 5 nights in the largest room. Angela and the two other girls were very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Maoer is along a quiet little hutong, in a convenient location near to cafes, restaurants and bars. It is located close to the Drum Tower and it about... more

This is an amazing B & B. For our five night stay in Beijing we booked the suite (3 adults) and a single room. Both were immaculate and beautifully decorated. Angela was a fantastic hostess who provided us with all the help we needed getting about Beijing. (Subway maps, available tours and a list of tourist sites you can visit... more

First of all, thanks to 3 beautiful, nice young ladies made our Beijing trip warm and memorable. I'd recommend this cute and nice place to anybody who needs a quiet and clean temp home to stay in Beijing. The B&B is small but neat, best of all it's totally non-smoking that is almost impossible to find in Beijing, please don't... more

Our host Angela looked after us wonderfully on our stay, booking train tickets for us and providing advice on where to visit. The location of the B&B is perfect - within walking distance of the Forbidden City and the Qian Hai lake area and easy reach of the Beijing subway system (there's even a host of excellent resaurants within the... more

My sister and stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. We stayed in Room A which was spacious and comfortable. Angela was very helpful arranging overnight train to xian for us. We loved the chinese breakfast and being located in the hutong close to atmospheric street. It was easy to obtain a taxi at the bottom of the road... more

We stayed here for an unforgetable 12 days. The location was fantastic - we could just wander about so many interesting places from here. Very safe neighbourhood and so friendly. The staff and the B and B were extremely helpful, friendly and went well beyond the call of duty to make our stay fantastic. It's a tiny place with very... more

Highly recommend this BandB. It has so much character and charm and the location is brilliant. Quiet but near so many of Beijings incredible attractions. Staff happy and helpful. We (mum dad and 2 boys 7 and 9) took their 'in-house' trip to the Wall (Mutianyu) and were so pleased. By leaving early we got a park right near the... more

Three of us stayed five nights in Beijing in the first week of May. We loved the Mao'er Hutong bed and breakfast. It a delightful traditional courtyard house in the best hutong neighbourhood in Beijing.
