Good bar/common area and hostel itself is in a good location with main sights and restaurants close by. Dorms ok but big room with many people who never locked the door. Also stayed in a private room which was quite shabby and the lights in the bathroom stopped working so had to shower in the dark. Paid for washing to... More

Visit during China Worst 61 years rainstorm that hit Beijing capital on Saturday evening around 5pm. Flood everywhere on the small alley road leading to Leo Hostel. But, luck the water never flow into the hostel. Everyone busy with chat and surfing internet. Drinking cold beer...:-) Twin sharing room cost about Yuan $248. Easy to reach once you get out... More

I liked the location of Leo but it left a few things to be desired. It is in a good location in Beijing but the street outside smelled like sewage. The air conditioner leaked water all over the bed. When we wanted to check out to catch an early train we had to spend 15 minutes trying to wake the... More

Great location, close to tiananmen square. It was very rainy during my 3 night visit, the bathroom flooded from the light fixture, and down the walls, water all over the dorm room floor- other than that the rooms were nice, the bathrooms were clean, decent food. Staff was not very friendly, they returned my friends laundry still wet and in... More

The service at Leo Hostel is incredible! Our volunteer organization has had several teams stay their on their visit to Beijing, and they've had a great experience each time. My stay there was no different. I worked with "Noodles" the manager over e-mail for about two weeks prior to our arrival and he was super helpful. The accommodations were above... More

Stayed here one night and really liked it. The hostel has a nice and friendly atmosphere and staff helpful. The rooms were like the Hutong style, round the courtyard which made it a bit cold when first arrived in the room, but was fine once we were under the covers. Towels and sheets a little worn so bring your own,... More

The website is misleading, the text and the pictures are not how we experienced it at all. Watching a movie was a problem because the movieroom is also the restaurant. Bathroom was poor and the mattresses are really thin, we checked out before we even slept one night here. There are better places which do have a backpackers vibe.

Nice hostel, especially for the price. The beds are fine and the rooms all have heating in them. There's a great tv in the lounge area with chairs and you can order food while you watch a movie with your friends or other travelers (who are typically very friendly). There's an internet lounge and they have the ways of getting... More

By no means fancy, but gets the job done. The service was very friendly, cozy bar upstairs and nice living room area. The highlight was the tour they organized of the great wall, ahead of the tourist spots. It was quiet and super. There's free internet on a terminal and some DVD's to choose from
