I only stayed at Leo Hostel for one night so it was great to be in a good location for our time in Beijing. It is located just south of Tiananmen Square and only a short walk from the Qianmen subway stop. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly when storing luggage. There is also a bar and common area... This hostel is average. The staff on reception were helpful regarding directions and things to do but only one or two spoke English. It's a great location close to Tiananmen Square and restaurants. The beds in the rooms were very hard and not that comfortable. There was no hot water for our entire stay, beware the staff will tell you... More

Leo hostel is located in the centre of beijing and you can reach the tiananmen square and the forbidden city in only 10 minutes by foot. The atmosphere is nice and they have a big bar and offer some additional tours. The rooms were ok, but not that clean. At the bar the service was really unfriendly and it took... More

Pros: good location, drinking atmosphere, drinks specials, had towels, a window and air-conditioning. Cons: expensive, hot water took ages to kick in and even then the temperature was temperamental, food was average. We actually got a 60 RMB discount for saying "Geez, that's expensive" when we found out the cost of a double room. We paid 200 RMB all up... More

Dorm (14 people dorm room) was really cheap, but in hostel there was nothing special. Cafe downstairs was ok an beer was quite cheap also. Lot of local young people came there to drink at weekends, but not taht much other parties or anything. Hostel wasn't really clean. In the dorm the same garbages (like empty bottles or boxes, etc)... I stayed in Leo Hostel with two other people, on a work trip. It was in a fantastic area, within walking distance of Tiannamen Square, and located in the cutest little shopping neighborhood. The street Leo Hostel is on is almost like an alley, with food and merchandise vendors all up and down the street. There's a T intersection on... More

Terrible service! NO CREDIT!!! I booked a bed in a 4-bed room for 4 nights online because of its good location to explore old Beijing. Before I decided, I called them to comfirm they can supply the invoice as it's very important for me. They said "Yes"! When I arrived, I double checked if they could definitely provide the invoice.... More

Less than 5 minuets walk to Tiananmen Square and then the Forbidden City Leo Hostel an excellent base to explore Beijing. Hostel is friendly and clean with a good bathroom in our 4 bed room. Including a western style toilet although paper had to be put in the waste bin. WiFi always worked in the main areas and charging plugs... More

I stayed there for the Chinese new year, it's a good place to know other travelers and explore Beijing, the hostel was clean, the bathrooms are decent, wifi in all the areas, the only problem that I had is that some persons of the staff didn't had an adequate English level, sometimes it was hard to understand what they were... Very close to Qianmen subway station and Tiananmen square. The location is just perfect! Close to all the main attractions. It is even easy to reach the Temple of Heaven by walking. The hostel is very nice and cheap. It is the right place to chill and meet people. The restaurant is quite good and enjoyable.
