This hotel is not far from the Temple of Heaven, you can walk there, you are also near to the Opera and the Acrobat show, there are lots of places to eat as well. The hotel has a good breakfast with some western things, the staff are helpful, the hotel is very busy with business people, but it is quiet.... More

Stayed here when doing Explore's "Walk The Wall" tour, but they use it for all the Beijing tours. Expectations were low, based on some of the reviews. However, it wasn't as bad as expected. The public areas of the hotel did stink of smoke, which was off-putting. Fortunately, our room didn't. We had brought a neutradol pot with us (from... More

The location of this hotel is very poor. Aside from the Temple of Heaven its a long way from main attractions. Biggest problem of all is its a good 30 minutes walk from the metro. The hotel is in desperate need of a good clean and a refurb - its looks old dirty and tired. Carpets are stained. Cracked and... More

Contrary to other reviews we found the breakfast good and plentiful. it does smell of smoke because people are allowed to smoke in the hotel corridors. As usual needs a make over to update it, but we found it perfectly adequate for our 2 night stay. And yes, once you get outside of Hong Kong language is a problem. All... More

We were accommodated here for 3 nights by a tour company as the first stage of a Trans-Siberian railway trip. The hotel is obviously used by a number of Western tour groups. We were very disappointed, the hotel is a owned by a state tobacco company and has extensive meeting and conference rooms, and being in China, everyone smokes. The... More

I stay here a lot with work. Its always dirty, staff speak no english and the air con is bad. I wouldn't stay here if I was paying...location is far from subway. There is a buffet breakkfast which people always complain about. On checkout it takes ages for them to check your room, they then usually try to charge you... More

the rooms were adequate both in size and layout The continental breakfast was below par. With coffee that looked and tasted like dishwater, orange drink and not juice, bread that was difficult to toast and hard boiled eggs. There were a few Asian dishes, such as gongee. The staff were helpful

Average hotel close to Temple of Heaven and circus show. Requested an extra bed on check in but it never showed up. Out non-smoking room stank of smoke so badly we had to wash everything once we left. No free wifi. Grubby looking bath. Sewage smell by the restaurant and the staff seemed confused when I asked if there was... More

The room was very noisy but clean and nice. It is within walking distance to the Pearl Market for great shopping or you could take a taxi. It may not be near the metro but this was part of a tour and trips to local attractions were organized from the hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of an organised tour and stayed in room 720. It is an 8 storey hotel with functional rooms that were reasonably clean (apart from the carpet). My room was warm but others in my group complained of rooms that were very cold. We complained to reception who said they would provide... More
