This hotel was chosen because it gives discount for Beijing University and is close to it location. Indeed, location is about the best one can say about this place - it is walking distance to Beijing Medical school, Hutongs, subway, and the Qinghai lake area. When I travel to exotic destinations, I like to experience the local culture as fully as possible. I avoid all things Western, for example, when in China and Japan. Hosts booked me in 3 times during my trip back and forth to Beijing: Not very clean rooms; bathrooms mouldy. Poor food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Beds - The hardest surface I have slept on that isnt a floor! One wing butts onto a cement works, which, given the huge building expansion in Beijing, is very noisy throughout... More
