We were pleasantly surprised with the Xijiao as most reviews seemed inconclusive. The complex was unexpectedly large with 4 or 5 hotel buildings, conference facilities, and several restaurants on site. We stayed in the business rooms and they were clean and well provided and the bathrooms were nice. Not a huge suite by any means, but nice. The beds were... More

Good Impression overall but too loose in service on requests for shortfalls in the Hotel room. Location is perfect for commuting to various places in the the city center & shopping malls. Room Service knows no English. Hot water in the bathroom needs a wait of 15 mins ..then comes the luke warm water. Not a good option for long... More

Like many other writers, I stayed at the hotel for a conference. So, I did not choose it. The hotel is a bit confusing initially because it consists of a number of buildings not always well marked. For example I was in building 3 but I had to enter through building 2 and this was not explained to me initially.... More

We stayed here as part of a conference run at the hotel. The hotel consists of 8-9 buidlings in a complex so all of them not too high and the lifts v quick as a result. You will find alternative restaurants in the other buildings and a well equipped recreation centre with swimming pool, spa, bowling but we did not... More

Good breakfast, nice service, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. Inside the Hotel a japanese restaurant. If you feel like something else you got at 20' walking distance a lively street filled up with shopping and international cooking, from german to spanish, thai etc. No fit or spa. Acceptable business accomodation for its fare.

Opted to stay here when I was alone on business is Wudaouko. In the past I have stayed at the Wenjin nearby, which is more stars and more money. Xijiao is just fine. 10 minute walk to subway and other parts of Wudaouko and Tshinghua. Breakfast buffet is included and is very adequate. Staff is very nice and handled any... More

I am staying at Xijiao Hotel for a seminar at its conference center. I am impressed with the staff's friendliness and hospitality. Laundry service is efficient. The room is well kept and clean. Bathroom amenities are generously provided, including two sets of toothbrush and toothpaste. However, it lacks free goodies at minibar--no free instant coffee or tea and no free... More

Dates of visit: 17 to 24 August 2012. Good: Quiet location, wi-fi in room ok. A very good conference banquet meal was served. Bad: "Executive Luxury Room" in Building 9 is definitely not 4-star or luxury, although it is reasonably spacious. * The bed is rock-hard and uncomfortable. Hard beds seem to be standard in Asian hotels, but Western visitors... More

Service is predictably Chinese - earnest, sincere and try hard. English skills are limited. Based on which building your room, your experience will vary. Large campus, restaurants are OK, not great. Better choices near the train station.
