First the good - the location is nice. Now the honest truth - the room is disgusting. There is no air until June 1 even if the temperature is in the 80s. I do not even want to think about the disgusting and gross stuff in the bathroom. we are stuck here on an educational program - but if you... More

My wife and I stayed in a private room at the Jade International Youth Hostel for 8 days during March 2012. The location was perfect and it was very central to many historic and cultural sites. Most of the people at the front desk speak English and we didn't have any problems communicating with the employees. This is referred to... More

It was my first stay in China and I was more than disappointed. It started already before my trip. I wrote a message to the Hostel to ask if it's possible to arrange a trip to the Great Wall and I didn't get any response. Arriving at Beijing Intl Airport I tried to follow the direction the Hostel just mentiones... More

After a month in China had low expectations for hostels and hotels, but booked Jade Hotel for one night before leaving Beijing. The plus: mattress was softer than other Chinese hotels. People seemed to speak English. The minuses: the bathroom was filthy- there was mold all over the walls which we also found common in Chinese hotels, but the shower... More

Before I arrived at this hotel I was worried that it wouldn't be great because it was a "hostel" and because it was so inexpensive. It was great! The room was clean and an adequate size. The bathroom was fine-- it met all the basic requirements. The location was excellent-- we could walk to many of the major attractions in... More

It was pleasant, we like the location and the rooms were convenient. Though small, but confy, clean and the service was efficient. The WiFi was fast too! Lydia at the reception was exceptionally wonderful, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. She has all needed to be a five-star hotel employee. I am long time hotelier myself, having worked for more than 15years... More

My place when first arrived in Beijing in 2008 for the Olympic Games, I always keep it as a good option when travelling to Beijing or to recommend for friends who do not expect much comfort (around 300RMB/night). Pros: service, restaurant, location, cleanliness Cons: small suite More

We were a party of 3, and only booked the night prior to our stay. We found the hostel did not have the room we were expecting, and 2 of us were in a very small dormiotry room, albeit just ourselves. Other than that, we found the accommodation quite adequate, and ideally situated for the Forbidden City and Tianamen Square.... More

The price is amazing for what you get. Clean and central located. It is a big hostel so less familiar then smaller one but i loved it. More

I booked a twin room (single occupany) via booking.com @ 160 CNY per night exc breakfast, for Beijing I consider this to be tremendous value. Don't be put off by the 'Hostel' tag, this place is effectively a motel. The room was spacious, clean and secure with a decent shower and toilet facilty. Tea and kettle are provided as is... More
