So after checking in I questioned my room type. I am a Platinum Ambassador with intercontinental. Withing 5 minutes we were moved, and from that point forward we were treated as a vip. Great hotel although the lifts were being renovated which did cause some horrendous noise during the day. Position of this hotel is on the central subway line,... More

Overall I was fairly impressed with the Beijing InterContinental. Clearly aimed at business travellers, it is located in the heart of the Western financial district (still a long drive from the Eastern one though). Overall it ticks most of the boxes very well. Staff were efficient and courteous and spoke pretty good English (by Beijing standards). The gym was pretty... More

Stayed at Intercon Beijing Financial Street one night on the way to Tianjin. The hotel is obviously at 5 star level however unfortunately the staff's English was just terrible. On the email everything is perfect, I can easily understand what they're trying to say but when I got to the hotel it was simply very, very difficult to understand their... More

Staying at the Intercontinental was a real measure. Great big rooms with a very comfy bed and big bathroom. The spa including swimming pool were more than great. Breakfast was very good too. I can highly recommend this hotel. It's about a 15 min taxi ride to Forbidden City etc.

With this hotel, you need to systematically look at your credit card bill. They do not comply with your instructions with respect to the billing currency. The credit card slip offers to choose which currency for the billing: RMB or your credit card currency. Even if you circled RMB everywhere on the credit card slip and on the final bill,... More

Every time I travel to Beijing, Intercontinental Hotel on Financial District it's my choice. Well located, toubcan find several occidental restaurants nearby, such as Fridays, KFC, etc. The service it's excellent and the beef they sell on the restaurant it's just amazing. Love this hotel!

Got an upgrade to a Club Level room which gave me access to the Club Lounge -- what a nice surprise! The lounge was great, with good food service, nice facilities, friendly staff and a good view at night. I ate twice at the Chinese restaurant on the 5th floor, once for lunch and once for dinner, and both times... More

Room : I stayed at their Elite Suite and its a very large luxurious suite with 2 rooms. We were a family of 2 kids and 2 adults and it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay for us. There was plenty of water replenished in our room daily and a nice humidifier (which fascinated my kids!!) in the room... More

The location is near fuchengmen tube station. Hotel room is spacious, and I like the bath. The buffet dinner is not good-it is 412 rmb per person, but quality and kinds of food and beverage are very disappointing, I think it worth 158rmb at most. I do not recommend the buffet!

After moving to Beijing decided on a weekend downtown. Although not easy walking distance to any attractions, the Forbidden City is not far away (15 minute taxi, CNY25) as are shopping and other attractions. Staff are in the main quite helpful. The Club Room was spacious, had good facilities, and a great bath and shower. The evening cocktail party was... More
