Location is great...close to all the major sites you want to visit. The hotel is typically Chinese--no fluffy mattress. The carpet has seen better days. A Western restaurant is available as well as Chinese cuisine but with so many good nearby restaurants, you have many options. In July, the AC worked perfectly and was needed. Like most Chinese buildings, you... More

I found this hotel a good short stay option. After rerading the reviews I wasn't sure but I found i had no problem getting to the hoetl and the hotel was very decent. I would stay here again for a short stay in Beijing. Everything written about the taxis is correct they try not to use their meters, but if... More

I was worried, going to a Chinese hotel instead of one of the western chains. But I lied in China for 5 years and I hate the locations of the 5-stars. I brought 6 people along who had never been to China, and I loved the idea we could walk to the Forbidden City, the night street market, and Wanfujing.... More

Best location in the city. Walking distance to Tiananmen, forbidden city, Wangfujing and easy access to Line 1 to get you to Summer Palace. 2 min away from Beijing APM mall, which has 30+ restaurants that range from the Chinese fast food to high end restaurants. Also walkable to Da Dong, one of the famed roast duck restaurants. Apparently, the... More

We found this hotel to be in a perfect position for visiting the sights of Beijing. Rooms were clean and well appointed, our only complaint would be the temperature, air pumping out at 28 deg is far too hot to sleep comfortably. We turned the aircon off for our stay and opened the windows for some air. Unfortunately to sleep... More

Like this histotrical hotel very much, pity they only have it written on the wall. It is clean and has friendly staff. Nearby the Forbidden City and Wangfujin. For smoker I would recommend to make life for them more comfortable with chairs and table outside - backyard would be even better. Staff do speak english though not all of them.... More

The hotel is clean and very close to major attractions but that's about the best it has to offer. Upon arriving I was told that the air conditioning was broken, my room was 28 degrees which made it hard to sleep. Talking with other guests they also said there was no air-con. I asked for a fan but none were... More

This hotel is located in easy walk to several attractions, and between two subway stations easily reached, plus public bus literally at the door. Room was good and spacious, staff friendly but struggled with English. Breakfast was expensive. One of best assets was Joe the concierge; he was so helpful, a real gem amongst the Chinese!

Hotel is very close the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, and is very affordable! Rooms were nice and we had all that we needed for our 3 nights there. Nothing amazing but this hotel did the trick.
