This hotel is in an imposing building and as its name implies is catering for foreign experts visiting China. Many reviewers have commented on the lack of English spoken by the staff but this was certainly not a problem for us, we found them polite and extremely helpful. Our accommodation was a small suite of rooms on the top floor.... More

I was convinced with the name and hoped for a decent conversation about the booking and stay in this hotel. Unfortunately, I had to take help of a Chinese person to book. After I reached the hotel, it took good 40 minutes to convey the message to the front desk and get a room. Room: Clean, but air condition went... More

This is an OK hotel where the basic things, such as air conditioning and shower, worked well. However, it did not have WiFi, which is currently uncommon for a hotel this size. The restaurant did not have a vegetarian option. The service at the reception was very slow and spoke very limited English. In synthesis, in a city with so... More

I spent two nights here in April 2014, invited by Chinese colleagues. The hotel is in an uninteresting location and in spite of its name, very few from the staff (if any) seem to speak any foreign languages. The room was not what would pass as adequately clean in any Western country. The bed mattress was hard, the covers questionable.... More

This is the second occasion on which I have been accommodated at this hotel whilst on an extended business trip to Beijing. The location, immediately adjacent to the fourth ring road and very close to the Olympic park and stadium, is excellent particularly if you have a room on the west side of the hotel when you can be treated... Spacious rooms in a central hotel with the Olympic Park 5+ minutes away. Very quiet double room opens onto a glazed balcony, living room, kitchen, clothes washer, bathroom. TV in bedroom and living room with CNN. Ample buffet breakfasts for both Chinese & western tastes, plenty fruit & yoghurts, eggs cooked to order, toast, cereals, juices etc ! WiFi not... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a delegation attending a conference at the China National Convention Center. The hotel is a short 10-minute cab ride away from the CNCC, but there are not many food or entertainment options within reasonable walking distance of the property. Hailing a cab is a hit-or-miss affair during rush hour, but chances improve... More

The hotel is very grandiose and has some really nice rooms, but it's like traveling back in time to 1970. The carpets are old and smelly and dirty. The hallways smell of smoke, even though there is no smoking in the rooms. The rooms are nice though. I stayed in a suite. It was very big and had a full... More

I was in Beijing to attend a conference. This hotel was near to the conference venue. I got a good price at elong. Suite was neat and clean. Almost everything necessary was there, Fridge, 30+ inch LCD, Kitchen, Internet and a safe. Location wise, it is excellent. 15-20 minutes walk to bird's nest and aquatics cube. 10 minutes walk to... There is a master bedroom which is nice There is a living room and dining area good for entertaining a few guests. There was a laundry as well. The comforters were excellent although the mattress was hard, heard thats an Asian thing. Internet was shut off by the government at night a couple of times. There is a nice breakfast... More
