We were definitely impressed with the lobby as we crossed the threshold into the hotel. The decor is beautiful! The rooms did not disappoint and the bath/shower was luxurious to these weary travelers. We took full advantage of the restaurants and the room service which were convienient, but defiantly not 5 star standard. The cost of the food did not... More

Went in April for school trip. Nice hotel rooms, clean, modern, tidy. Okay breakfast We were part of a package tour. Room was a tad warm, could not figure out how to get the AC to work The elevators were fast which was helpful when traveling in a large group. Rooms were spacious enough- bigger then typical European rooms. Our... More

While in Beijing we stayed at this Hotel, the rooms were spacious, kind of luxurious and very clean, very comfortable. It included breakfast buffet style, the food was delicious and with a lot of variety, including the occidental touch for those not very adventurous. The staff was really polite and helpful at all time. However, in this hotel and in... More

Our stay was part of a package tour. This was definitely not a 5 star hotel. Front counter staff were rude and unhelpful. originally told a second key was not available but if a bond of Y100 suddenly it was possible. Took three requests to get toilet paper to the room. Just generally made to feel like the group was... More

Well this is not really a 5 star hotel. The rooms are quite nice but the staff are extremely rude and arrogant. We ran out of toilet paper and when I asked for milk in the room in order to make a cup of tea, we were told that was not possible. The air conditioner barely works. Our toilet was... More

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us as part of a China tour package and told it was a 5 star. Upon arrival, we already downgraded it to 4. Rather than nearby Beijing West Train Station, there is noting to write home about. The décor is tired looking, the front desk staff didn't smile and seemed reluctant to provide... More

Stayed for 3 nights. Room size is below average but free internet in the room and the breakfast buffet included was very good with a variety of Chinese and Western cuisine. Hotel not well situated though but subway station nearby.

I chose the Beijing Xinyuan hotel because it is within a mile of the Beijing West railroad station, and I had a train to catch there. For that use, it was a great choice - the room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and all the little extras you expect in a 4 or 5 star hotel. Free internet in the room.... More

We stayed 1-6 of October. Just facts: - Far from city center - Nothing interesting around, no place to walk - No restraunts around, only fast food in 15 minutes at the railway station - Standard rooms are large and all equiped with all staff (fridge, cattle, slippers, robe, iron etc). - Wifi is free in the room (ask personel... We were booked in a tour group trip for 8 days stay. First, front counter staff seem helpful but actually did not help much. We requested for connecting room and was promised when back later in evening. However, its a false hope. The toilet in room 1514 had a foul smell. Its was cleaned but the foul smell came back...
