The Zhaolong is one of the hallmarks of the Deng Xiaoping era. It was one the first modern hotels in Peking - sorry enough, things have stayed much the way when the hotel was opened. You should insist getting a room above 8th floor, not for the view, but they are the renovated ones (a few years ago, though). They... More

For whom would like to stay closed to the center malls and the foreign night life of Beijing this is the best option with a outstanding breakfest starting at 06:30 AM and a service in different languages.

Myself and my holiday wife stayed here for 4 nights when in Beijing and the hotel was excellent for us. Indeed the bell boys were even willing when to give you a high five when you came in blazing at 6am and the reception staff willing to re-issue lost room cards despite the fact that we couldnt string a sentence... I have been using this Hotel for many years. It has changed a bit and the general reception service has improved of late as they were shocking a few years back. The last trip in April was fine with faster check-in and check-out times. Don't expect a super friendly reception as they are quite indifferent to foreigners but use it... More

We picked up this hotel because of its location. Much of the shopping and eating like The Village and Yashow market are within walking distance, and popular halal restaurants like Rumi, 1001 Nights and Turkish Mum right opposite. But in the frigid December cold walking was a torture. And to get right across the street to the restaurants we had... More

Great location but the service and the competence of the local staff is still at the level of China in the 80's. The staff and the management have a LONG learning curve to go through. One example: the receptionist when I checked in claimed that I had no entry stamp on my passport. As if this were possible: to enter... More

The Zhaolong hotel is not one of the fashion new hotel you can find in Beijing, but it is a good hotel 50 meters away from the subway station and 300 meters from the nightlife and from the Embassies quarter. And you can find fair rates for different kind of rooms. Free wi fi

Í have stayed many times at Zhaolong and it has always been below expepectations. The service is not good and staff is spending most time of being unpolite to the customers or just sleeping or chatting to each others. This time they uped the price by 30% and motivating it by their need to seel expensive rooms. There are may... More

The recebtion area of the hotel is well decorated. The rooms are clean, regular size. The bathroom was clean. The towels were changed regularly. The breakfast was tasty. Overall, a nice place to stay during a business trip. A big shopping center is located nearby.

If you want to explore Beijing city, this hotel is very good location in town and very easy to access bars and shopping just next corner of course since it is dowtown a little narrow and old fashion compare with other new hotel.
