3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013 NEW

Hotel Zhaolong is conviniently located close to the business district and to the vibrant shopping areas. There is also a number of good western style restaurants nearby, in case you get tired of chinese food. The rooms are generally well equipped, but even the positive and optimistic traveller can not avoid noticiing the overall decay. The hotel is really worn... More

Zhaolong is well located at the corner of Tuanjiehu subway and within walking distance from the Sanlitun business and embassies area. It is more a classic Chinese 5 star hotel and as such the check in, check out and services are not to usual western standards. These processes take long and are fraught with misunderstanding and mistakes. However, staff is... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice for a couple of weeks at a time and found it extremely good, Feels more like a traditional hotel rather than modern traveller one. This is the charm Some chain hotels you can find anywhere and are so "modern" you could be in any country! Found the rooms to be clean and comfortable... More

I was booked into this hotel by my agent in Beijing. This is not a Western standard hotel. The room rate was reasonable, and in theory it should be a comfortable stay. The rooms are very shabby, especially the carpets and bathrooms. The carpet in the room was filthy and the shower in the bath hit the back wall and... More

Nothing special in this hotel attracted me. It is not a modern or well-furnished hotel. The hospitality level of staff and reception is nothing to mention. I didn't like the design of hotel, restaurants and food options.

I've reviewed this hotel on previous trips, just updating really. Stayed March 2013 for four nights. Bathrooms very good. Internet was very poor on WiFi, many dropouts. Cable connection reliable but slow. OK for checking email and light browsing. Carpet in room awful, staff either not vacuumed or need a new vacuum cleaner, at first it looked OK, closer look... More

Certainly the hotels location is a very favourite one near the main embassy district and just a few steps away from the next subway station (line 10). The rooms have an adeqaute sizes and conveninet bathrooms with bath tubes and walk-in shower. Everything is kept nice and clean despite the usual traces of mold on the sealings. The rooms seem... I often stay at the Zhaolong as it is significantly lower cost than the western brand 5 star hotels. It just about cuts the mustard, mainly because of its location. There isn't a whole lot of English spoken (and why should there be, you might reasonably ask), so don't have a complicated problem if you can help it. The staff... More

Stayed here for three nights over Christmas. Nice size hotel, contrary to other reviews I had some problems communicating with the staff due to the challenge of the English language. The shower drain was blocking up and when i mentioned this, house keeping came up with a razor?! but they did fix it promptly. The room was dark, dirty carpets... More
