This was my second time to stay at the Yue Xiu Hotel. I booked it the 2nd time because of its convenient location: adjacent to a subway stop, adjacent to a major department store/supermarket, and just a relatively short walk (<30 minutes) to Tien an Mien Square. This time, I booked a double room. The view of the Southern Cathedral... more

DUMP! DUMP! DUMP! I was there just this weekend and I do not recommend this place to anyone! A group of 18 of us went there and after 5 minutes of checking in our rooms, 14 of us were at the front desk to complain along with other travelers who were there to complain about not getting what they paid... more

The location is excellent. It's right next to a subway stop. It's also close by to restaurants and a Walmart. I agree with other posters that the staff can be quite rude. I was yelled at by housekeeping for asking why the electricity in half of my room wasn't working properly, but they did eventually send someone to help me.... more

I traveled to Beijing with a group for a school course. Beijing was our longest and final stop in China and we were staying at the hotel for 8 days. Almost immediately after checking in, most of the group was ready to leave. I do not understand what makes this hotel 3 star but I do not recommend trusting that... more

We just got back from Beijing and stayed at this hotel. It was the worst vacation we've ever had in our lives. The staff were non English speaking, extremely rude, noncourteous, and unhelpful to say the least. The hotel was very old and the rooms were disgusting and very filthy. We were even left a half eaten fruit tray on... more

I was glad I chose this hotel. The price was great, and a convenient location (right in front of a subway). You can find a place on line where the hotel and address are written in Chinese characters, which you can show to a taxi driver. This got me from the airport to the hotel with no problem, as well... more

You can't communicate much if you don't speak Chinese. Front Desk has many problems. Attitudes, manners, & etc. Don't expect "Thank you" from them. Wonder what they will do in 2008. Good luck if you must stay. more

Yue Xiu Hotel has good location right to metro and bus station. Don't belive that you could walk to any tourist site (forbidden city, tian an man e.t.c.) is too far + all of the attractions are huge so save your foot for attractions. Since there is not much use of the metro sistem in beijing and buses are needed,... more
