Not sure of the location. It is close to the forbidden city but the area was quite run down and when driving around the City there were much nicer areas. The foyer is big and posh but the rooms are dark and dingy. Worn around the edges would describe my room well. The bed was hard but clean. The bathroom... More

My husband and I stayed here a long time ago and it was excellent then. 1999 was the year, back then it was a good hotel, service was great and the breakfast was amazing, I remember all the choices and they even had delicious cakes for breakfast and I always squeezed one in.

Nice clean hotel with very good breakfast. the problem is that you have 2 separate beds and no rooms with one double, but you can ask from the desk if they understand you to give you an extra blanket and make the beds like one.

Stayed here three nights. Everyone in China spits everywhere they go. Did not expect the Chef, if he deserves to be called that, to spit on the floor where he's cooking fried eggs for people to eat. I watched him drop a fried egg on the counter, chase it around the counter, pick it up and put it on the... More

I stayed 3 nights in the hotel with my group. There was a heatwave in Beijing, over 30 Celsius. The air-condition in the hotel was not working despite our demand. The staff explained that it is a policy not to turn it on until June. So my group and I suffered for 3 night the heat of late spring. Otherwise... More

Dear All Asians, Please avoid this hotel, there is racism here. We had a very bad experience. Went here on a package tour through China Spring Tour. a. when we were having breakfast which was included in our package, they made us stop eating in front of all other guests and told us breakfast is not included in our room... The location near South Railway station is very convenient. Rooms are spacious and staff very courteous. Particularly the front office staff with knowledge of English is a respite in this Chinese city. The wifi needs to be available in the rooms as well, instead of just the lobby.

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of my tour. The hotel is clean and the staff are pleasant. Breakfast in the hotel was nice. Varied from sausages bacon ect to rice noodles and vegetables then to pastries croissants and cereal. Only thing I would say about the food is that it's always warm. Rooms are spacious & some... The hotel is average, nothing special at all. Wifi is working only in loby and not all the time. The staff was kind, but they weren't able to speak English at all. Area around the hotel seemed to be safe, but not so many opportunities to buy something (especially when you want to go to a shop with non-Chines products).... More

We stayed for 3 nights recently and first impressions were good. Huge pity that no staff, neither at reception nor restaurant, speak any English. It was very difficult to communicate to the waitress what we wanted to order from the dinner menu and had to use my translator app on my phone. Would have been nice to have had wifi... More
