We stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms were clean and we had a spacious one with a couch near the entrance way. They offered a decent selection of food for breakfast. The rooms were a little cold but not the hotels fault, just that the govt hadnt granted power in October, it comes on in Nov! You can access... More

Not that I stay in a lot of three star hotels but I didn't think this hotel was too bad. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms ok, not overly spacious but ok, free toiletries supplied, hairdryer. Shower over bath, toilet, sink, slippers, bathrobes. I had issues with my hot water, which was quickly sorted. Free bottle water x 2 supplied daily, free... More

Our first hotel in China on a three centre tour. Spacious room, enormouse comfortable double bed. Bathroom good. Breakfasts excellent incredible variety of Chinese and western dishes to try. Location very good close to Tiananmen Square. The room was prebooked as part of a tour group of 20.

If you like China and speciffically Beijing Best Hotel, WAY to much smog, it killed my lungs. Also I don't appreciate being charged for breakfeast with a high amount to pay for such an average hotel, the Galaxy next to it looked nicer.

We stayed for 2 nights in Dec 2013 at the end of the trans siberian railway. Our room was nice and large, we had 2 big single comfortable beds and an armchair with foot stool and a large flat screen tv. There was no proper wardrobe, just hangers in the recess. The bathroom had a nice walk in shower, but... More

I stayed at the Rainbow Hotel for 3 nights as part of a group tour. The room was a pretty decent size. The bed however was not comfortable. It was like sleeping on the floor. At least the pillows were big. The bathroom was compact. The drainage in the shower/bath was a real concern. It was very slow for the... More

Pros - Good location, close to the center of Beijing (still a good 30min walk from major attractions such as Tiananmen Square and Forbidden city) - Large rooms, well equipped with fridge, complimentary water, etc.. - Good Chinese restaurant just in front of the hotel Cons - Almost no staff seems to speak English so unless you are with a... The hotel looks old. This is not the main issue but the facilities inside are really old and not clean in particular the washroom. The door of washroom in the room I lived in could not be locked. This is quite embarrassing when stayed with a colleague. The hot water for shower was not reliable. Sometimes it was cold, sometimes... More

Stayed here for past week with a colleague and 21 kids from our school. Was clean, friendly and had a good selection of breakfast items (my colleague commented that it was far better than the previous hotel on last Beijing trip). Reasonably central location, with bakery and convenience stores across street, supermarket a few minutes walk away. Only downside was... More

I was in Beijing for a week with travel agency. Check in was fast, no problem with room. Rooms are small but comfort. Do not expect spectacular view, but for seeing historical parts of Beijing this hotel is very nice placed. Very good addition is free cable internet in rooms (but some services are blocked in China - such as... More
