- Hotel Grand Metropark

Our tour group stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, we thought it was fabulous. We had a beautiful room on the 8th floor.
Some of the tour group were on lower floors and said their rooms were not as nice, but we were very happy.
The room was big, very clean, and in the evening they had a turn...

Given the big name hotels available in Beijing I was a little apprehensive with our tour being booked in a hotel without a recognizable name/reputation. My apprehension quickly dissipated after spending three nights at this fabulous hotel.
The Grand Metro is situated on a major road feeding into the city center several very long blocks away. It is across the...

While travelling in Beijing on business, a colleague made reservations for my wife and I at a nearby hotel (Golden Sun). When we arrived, we found this hotel did not have non-smoking rooms. My wife has asthma and could not stay at their hotel, so the desk clerk arranged for us a room at the Grand Metro Park.
The desk...

Stayed at the Metropark the first several nights of a 15 day tour, and it was a fantastic place to start. Very upscale and a grand lobby. Super clean. Actually the only hotel that gave us lotion on the trip... so standard in America, but all the others gave slippers, toothbrush&paste... everything but lotion. The service was great, and everyone...

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and found it to be a wonderful hotel, the rooms and service were excellent. The food was some of the best breakfasts we had while on both trips to China (2006) and this year. They do have a new policy of not cashing traveller checks but because I was aware there was...

had no money to convert currency for the first two days and then once
they had currency they refused to cash travelers Checks even though their own in room information portfolio said they did so. The people at the front desk were rude and indiffirent. All...

This hotel got us to a great start in China: We were totally surprised the first morning by the bountiful breakfast bar, featuring an abundance of Western and Chinese food (see photo). The rooms and public areas are nice, clean and generously proportioned. The hotel also features a business tract, enabling us to get the ever so important first impression...

Used Elong to book. Property is quite far from the major sights. For a 4 star, international hotel no one spoke English and that's not good. Received little to no help with sightseeing. Concierge was worthless with the exception of holding our baggage. Breakfast price was outrageous!! Room was nice, clean, and large. Lobby and restaurant was nice, perhaps elegant....
