The non-smoking rooms on the 11th floor were maybe a little smaller for the price than I was expecting, but hey, it's Beijing and floor space is expensive. The room's were still certainly big enough when you're spending all your time exploring, and they were quiet and cool for sleeping after a long day. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Be... More

It is misleading to claim this is a five star hotel, the rooms are outdated and an annoying practice of some Chinese hotels is turning off the air conditioning frequently so only the fan operates. Luckily we could open the window on the 8th floor and it was only high 20s in early-mid June. This should not happen for a... More

We spent 5 nights in this hotel at the end of a Chinese tour and it was pretty disappointing. We had booked a long time in advance (at least 1 month). Despite this forward notice and the fact that they knew we had kids they tried to put us into smoking rooms on a smoking floor. Admittedly we had requested... More

The hotel is 4 stops (1 change) on the subway from the last stop on the airport rail link and 2 stops from Tiananmen Square. It is just next to Dongsi subway station (exit B north east, if I recall), but best to take a photo of the hotel and its name in Chinese to assist in asking for directions.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and Jianguo Garden hotel is very impressive and popular-especially for buisness folk. The huge attractive lobby hosts a couple of eateries, 2 restaurants (one is a buffet & also is the breakfast room). Breakfast selection is vast with asian & western fare. Check in has several people and takes usual time for in &... More

I spent a few days days at the Jianguo Garden Hotel - business with some relaxation thrown in. It is perfect for both. The location is fantastic and it's a comfortable and very easy walk to the silk market and the subway - which is cheap and easy to use. The hotel has a bit of character which makes it... More

Lovely hotel in a great location for seeing the sights. Away from hustle and bustle of night life so I felt safe walking to and from adjacent subway station on my own in the evenings. Didn't expect much English because it's China, so was pleasantly surprised with a few staff that I could talk to! Food is nice, but typical... More

My wife and I stayed at the Jianguo Garden Hotel from February 16 - 19, 2015. We were easily able to walk there with our luggage from the Beijing Railway Station on Subway Line 2. It is close enough to Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City that it can be walked on a nice day (1.8 km or just over... More

The hotel has an ideal location. Very close to the subway and within walking distance (10-15 minute) to the tourist sites such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Mao's Masoleum, the mall, and the wierd food street vendors. I would definitely recommend this hotel during your stay in Beijing.

We were super happy with the atmosphere, the cleaning and the location... Superb. 21 block away from the Metro station where you can reach all the most important sightseeing adventures... 3 restaurants on site... excellent food and service... Safe surroundings.. I would definitely stay there anytime we'll go.
