The hotel was booked and paid for by my customer and is a reasonable hotel but not the deluxe hotel as claimed. The room was clean but given it is only 7 years old the bathroom is 'tired' and whilst clean (except sticky floor) there are mould patches appearing and panels were damaged. A/C doesn't work properly (stuck on 25C)... More

My customer kindly booked and paid for this stay so I feel a bit guilty in criticising the place but this is NOT a good option for an overseas business traveller in Beijing! The place may of been OK for the Olympics and if you like looking at unused Olympic buildings it's close to many of them. However the rooms... More

This hotel was booked for me by a colleague who lives in Beijing. I was lucky to be upgraded to a lovely suite which is very spacious, and has a view of the stadium right next door. (Beautiful at night) The price is very fair compared to other places I've stayed. My room is extremely clean and comfortable, and the... More

Visited this hotel for approx. 1 week to visit a large exhibition with work in the nearby conference centre. I chose it for it's location for my business needs together with it's close proximity to the cube and bird's nest stadium. The room was nice enough, pretty standard for a hotel of its classification in Beijing and the food in... More

This hotel looks nice but the people running it are not educated on service or courteous behavior. The room had a broken heat/cooling system. I called room service and they would not help me.. I called the Manager and he refused to switch my room and just kept hanging up on me. The room was over 30 degrees C. I... More

Staying on the way back from a Tourism Forum elsewhere in China, we thought we would break tthe journey back to the UK up with two nights in Beijing. Wanting to stay near the Birds Nest Stadium, we came across the Grand Skylight. They promised a great location - which it was, its literally next to the stadium - and... More

I arrived at 4am in the morning and the Hotel was locked. I had to bang on the doors to attract the attention of the ONLY staff member that was behind the desk who spoke very little English. One of the Hotel restaurants was being renovated and although my room was on the 8th floor waking up to the sound... More

I stayed at the Grand Skylight Catic Hotel of Beijing from October 20-27 and it is one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The hotel location by the Olympic Park and the China National Convention Center makes it an ideal place to stay. The room I stayed is a little suite with a smal living room and a... More

Stayed there at the recommendation of a colleague who chose the site because of its walking distance to the National Conference Centre. Room was clean and well-kept, but the bathroom fixtures (e.g. shower, shower curtain, tile) was definitely '70's or '80's vintage. Closest hotel by proximity to the Bird's Nest Stadium. Nice walk through the former Olympic site, although the... More

This is a typical 'Chinese' hotel which caters for conference centre attendees. The rooms have seen better times and the air con struggled to keep the temperature down. It is convenient, not too badly priced for Beijing nowadays. However I am sure you can get better elsewhere. There are various places to eat nearby if you look hard enough and... More
