I've been in this hotel for only 2 nights and actually it was good. It's near the main square of beijing, also 10 minutes walk to silk street shopping center. There is a good shopping mall just in front of it and about 2 other big shopping malls of beijing around it. You can find many good restaurants in the neighborhood,also... More

The inlaid marble, etched glass and carved woodwork suggest that this was once a bit of a showpiece hotel. However, it is now in need of refurbishment, so if I didn't have business in Scitech Tower next door I wouldn't stay here. It's probably the density of Beijing traffic that keeps Scitech going, as it is very coveniently located in... More

I'm sure this was a very good hotel 15 years ago. However, it's been poorly maintained. There were stains everywhere in my room and the carpet was dirty. The old stype 3-round pins outlets are still being used which i didn't have an adapter for. There's only 2 new power outlets in the room -- not nearly enough to charge... More

The hotel isn't new, the room TV is old, but - It's location is good and central, the rooms are not small, wifi worked well, water were great - Was worth the not-too-expensive price. I would go back again for the same budget.

The Scitech Hotel is situated in the business district just opposite of the DRC (Diplomatic Residence Compound). The hotel is altogether outdated, except the lobby area which is looking better than the rest. The rooms are in dire need of refurbishing as they are no longer those expected in a business hotel. The beds are extremely hard, borderline of the... More

A very conveniently located hotel , 5 minutes walk from line 1, close to silk street market . Rooms are large , but starting to show thier age . Beds a very very firm. Wi Fi is free , but annoyingly weak.

It wasn't so long ago that Scitech was a really good hotel for the money. Seems it's lately been a path to just being a reasonably priced hotel. The place is in desperate need of renovations. Rooms are shabby; clunky TVs date from the 1970s or 80s; lighting is poor; bathrooms are small and plain. Old facilities mean that it's... More

This hotel tries to deceive you with their fully renovated lobby. Yes, their lobby could pass for a 4 star hotel. Once you step out of the elevator, you are immediately transported back the 1980's. I'll post photos of the things that you can find in the hotel room and you will see what I mean.

The only two good things of this hotel are the position (centrally located and close to the subway) and the cheap room rates. Everything else is pretty bad: rooms are extremely old and quite dirty. The beds are hard, TVs are old, not working properly and with only 3 channels in English language. The common areas (including the gym and... More

Average room, in need of refurbishment, breakfast average at max but location is truly good and price very reasonable. Would be prepared to pay more if my remarks would be dealt with. Bar almost under hotel is worth a visit with good dj's even on Monday night.
