The reviews we read were pretty accurate. By western standards the hotel is very reasonably priced. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The location is unique and close to bars, restaurants, and the subway. Please don't stay here if walking down alleys is not for you or if you require a large hotel room. The hotel is definitely showing signs of... More

Wow! First of all, the hotel will be hard to find and taxis are not allowed to drive in the alley ways (way too narrow for them- residents only) so you will have to walk to the hotel but you will only have to walk for a couple of minutes. It is very close to a police stations so I... More

We were here in the beginning of May and loved the hotel. We have three children (5,10 and 12) and since there was no family rooms we had to take two rooms next to eache other (not connecting rooms, though). Both rooms were really beautiful with a lot of Chinese details, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. The breakfast was OK:... More

You can't beat this hotel for a great location in the heart of the Hutong district. Lots of bars restaurants and attractions within easy walk. The rooms are adequate, common areas clean enough. Restaurant again adequate, restaurant staff surly. Reception area people all v nice. An extra 10 dollars per person, spent on new carpets, a lick of paint and... More

I found this Hutong through Conde Naste traveler. It has all the ingredients to be a fantastic place but... What I didn't like. It isn't clean, from carpets in hallways to rooms. Lots of dirt in corners everywhere (bathroom, room). Rooms are not taken care of while you stay there. My sink in bathroom had huge leak (lots of water... More

I had a fantastic stay in this gorgeous hotel. The staff are lovely and the location is great - fantastic shopping and great places to eat and drink all around. Very accessible to many of Beijing's top attractions. You will feel at home here and the experience is much more authentic! I also stayed in another hotel that is part of... More

We arrived late afternoon and were pleasantly greeted by Zhang Hai Xia (Joong) a lovely lady who speaks very good English and been with the hotel for 12 years. We were offered the opportunity to select from a few rooms, we chose one that the windows looked out over the courtyard with 2 single beds and en-suite. The room was... More

I stayed in the single half price room. The room was a little smaller and bed a little bigger than I thought. The staff were extremely nice. I had an issue with the shower leaking onto the bathroom floor. It wasn't fixed by the time I left, but it wasn't a big deal, just a mess for the maid to... More

Thank you to the wonderfully helpful staff of the Lusongyuan. The hotel is in a wonderful location, the hutong and close to all attractions. The room was beautiful opening onto the court yard. The staff helped book onward travel, which was no mean feat in busy China holiday period. The hotel staff helped us in every way. We loved our... More
