I spent 7 nights in this hotel because I participated in a Congress in the neighbouring Beijing Conference Centre. The first thing that struck me on arrival was the absence of seats in the lobby, apart from 2 armchairs in a hidden corner. The public parts are not bad and the room (13th floor) was large enough (2 beds, but... More

Having stayed in another hotel last week in Beijing , this stay is definitely going to be compared . The rooms are compact and small , with no ironing board ! The breakfast buffet is basic with not much options , simple some fruit , salads , couple of cold cuts , porridge and eggs ! The only greatest point... More

Pros: Good position close to the Olympic park, good breafasts. North star is quite clean, silent and more or less well equipped area (7/11 only 3 mins from hotel, Subway fast food, some small restaurants, etc.) Very convenient - if you are visiting some conference or congress in the nearby Beijing convention center, since they are directly connected. Close to... More

Located basically as part of the older Beijing Convention Center and within a short walk of the Olympic village are the only reasons to stay here. It is a long way from the city center or anything else that is of interest. Rooms were fine with comfortable bed and a generous size for the executive room. No mini bar or... More

No, its a bit costly compare to what you experienced. Breakfast is with very common food, dont expect nice surprise. Front desk people, are terrible with english. So tough talking to them, how can i say? Room, well ...old properties, with fairly clean bathroom.

When we arrived our reservation was in good order and we got to the room very readily. Hotel room was smallish but certainly adequate. Bed were OK comfort wise. Bathroom small without separate shower stall. Air conditioning was becoming a major issue as the weather was becoming warm and even with it on full bore by 2am the temperature was... More

Stayed here because it was provided for by the conference organizers. Food ok. The hotel is alright. No complaints. Quiet, clean with the basics provided and a few frills. Bar fridge, tea, kettle, hair dryer provided. Its not bad, just no reason to stay here again.

Stayed for 3 days for a meeting at the Beijing Int'l Convention Centre. The hotel is immediately next to the convention centre, with a connecting passageway (with a few flights of stairs) leading to level 2 of the convention centre. This is prob useful in winter without having to go outdoors. The hotel is a very basic setup and has... More

I stayed here 2 nights for a meeting in the adjacent conference centre. Hotel is OK, what is nice is the Olympic stadium (birth nest) at some 500 meters from the hotel. There are apparently several breakfast rooms. The first morning, I took it in the big room at the first floor, and this was not pleasant seating (big round... More

This hotel is located close to the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics site which is now dominated by closed stadiums, etc and the surrounding area has a lot of now mostly closed stores and nearly closed shopping centres. Even the nearby Walmart is mostly closed. Result - not much to see or do in the neighborhood of this hotel which is... More
