Good rooms and great breakfast in either of the two restuarants / cafe. Nice quaint hotel shop tucked away near cafe. Although I did not go, there is an opera available in the hotel. Located near the Temple of Heaven and a short walk to a small historic street with great souvenirs. You will need to cool the rooms in... More

Pleasant hotel. Our room was pretty decent and clean. We had to request for a heater though as it was pretty chilly. As you walk in it seems like there is no hot water or tea making facilities BUT there is indeed a kettle inside the bathroom! And the tea/coffee etc hidden away under a make shift stool. Breakfast was... More

Was very unimpressed with this hotel. The room was not properly cleaned, cramped, poorly appointed and the carpet needs to be replaced. The bathroom was unclean very well worn. I would say that this hotel really needs to be renovated. On top of that the housekeeping staff seem to smoke in their room most of the day making the whole... More

Our tour group spent four nights in this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at the large room, slippers and robes provided, and a great breakfast buffet. There was a large variety of Chinese and Western foods, a good way to start each day! There are interesting areas to explore on foot near the hotel. Our room faced the street and... More

This hotel was your standard chinese hotel that tourists stay at. The rooms were clean and breakfast was decent. I did really enjoy the tea service in the lobby, and there is a Beijing opera show at night that was really great. They have english up on the tv so you can follow. I would recommend staying here.

As a large travelling group we were efficiently booked in and shown to our rooms even though it was very late in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. Breakfast was a vast array of different dishes and tea and coffee was plentiful. Staff very attentive.

This hotel had a great breakfast buffet even for the pickiest of eaters. Friendly and helpful staff, ATMs in the lobby with little to no surcharge, and bus stops right on the corner. The beds were pretty firm so be prepared for that. All in all, a nice hotel.

Stayed several nights while touring Beijing. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, with lots of variety, but sometimes the dining room became very busy at certain times. No problems. ATMs in the lobby made it easy to get money. We didn't explore the neighborhood much.

Ideally situated, 20 minutes to Tian a Men and all its sights also the Temple of Heaven and local hutongs, there's no need to take the tube although that is very cheap and welcomingly air conditioned if you do. Good breakfasts with a full range of local and European fare sustains one for the day. Bar area rather gaudy, internal... More

Despite being one of the older hotels, it is still a very imposant hotel within Beijing. The rooms are all well equipped but of course have a certain late 70ies touch. The breakfast has both, continential and traditional chinese selection. As the hotel can host several hundered travelleres, the atmosphere during breakfast is very hectic. There are few supermarkets just... More
