We are a family of three adults and stayed here in March of 2014. We requested a double business room with an extra bed and received a beautiful double bedded room with an entire extra bedroom attached. It was wonderful! The hotel itself is fine. No issues with check-in, cleanliness, or breakfast. However, the surrounding area is quite down and... More

Hotel is very clean, excellent staff, helpful bellboys and valet service, breakfast buffet excellent. Food and wine at the resturants within hotel expensive, if you leave hotel around the corner you can purchase wines, spirits, beers at low low prices.

This is the upgrade hotel for on the go tours. It's a great location a few blocks down the same road from the Temple of Heaven - 20 mins walk. Hotel is clean and spacious which an excellent breakfast Buffet. I'm not sure if it was a quiet weekend but the restaurants were virtually empty therefore lacking in atmosphere but... More

The lounge and front look great. Our bedroom was fine but the mold in the bathroom was crawling everywhere in the shower. We asked for help from the front desk but nothing was done. The dining room was fine with good variety and nice breakfast. Location is good in central Beijing.

Nice, comfortable and clean room. The bathroom was small but clean and stocked with the usual toiletries you would expect. The room was tended to every day. Attentive and helpful staff. A great theatre. A good range of foods for breakfast.

This hotel was one of the first joint venture hotels between Chinese and on this occasion Swiss investors. The hotel has always been extremely well run. I travel extensively in China on business and this hotel was always home from home. The rooms are moderate and the rooms on the executive floor are more than adequate. Staff were always friendly... I've been there on three different occasions. The rooms are good enough, spacious, clean and fully equipped. The service is ok. Most of the staff are respectful and willing to help. The breakfast was good and the western restaurant is pretty excellent. A little bit expensive but serves great dishes. The beijing opera takes place in that hotel which is... More

We visited this hotel a few years ago now (July 2012 is the latest date I am allowed to quote) and found it to be reasonably priced and reasonably well located. It isn't a luxury hotel and the rooms are a bit tired but you get the feeling that this is the real China, unlike one of the main chain... More

For a 'central' beijing hotel the subway access is a 15 minute walk. The desk staff are not very patient for non-typical questions like security storage bigger items than can fit into the room safe. Whenever i had a question about a location it was very tedious process to get more information or even recommendations. At 1am was still being... More

We stayed here for a few nights in late December 2012. The hotel stinks of smoke and shrimp, although we never actually saw anyone smoking inside. Must be from years of smoking allowed. Not a bad hotel. My room didn't have a window though, so was kind of dark and smoky/shrimpy smelling. But not dirty. The best part was the... More
