This is a landmark hotel in Beijing which has been opened for years. It's huge and convenient. It seems like the room was re-decorated in recent years, it looks very new, very classy and dark, I personally dislike the decoration style. The AC noise is very loud in the evening, the bed is very soft. The breakfast is good, the... More

Stayed here 2 nights for business. This was my worst experience in hospitality business in Beijing so fare. From outside the hotel looked quite nice. Rooms are tired and outdated. If you open some cupboards in the room you see some electric installations and air con - strange. Very poor english outside receiption is spoken. Breakfast took place in a... More

Just stayed here over the weekend before APEC. Love the variety of restaurants in the hotel as well as the Summit dining area is great for breakfast as well as receiving guest over meas and drinks. Daring Interior renovations designs but the hotel feels new and fresh. Like the gym and pool which was well provided for. Good size shopping... More

Great Room rates, friendly staff and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet and I actually stayed there for two weeks. Good restaurants and club. My first time in Beijing and it was very pleasant due to my stay here.

Kunlun Hotel is well positioned in central Beijing and has all the facilities you need to do business there. The rooms are large and perfectly adequately furnished, the restaurant is good, and doesn't go too far in trying to cater to perceived western tastes. The staff are friendly and helpful. I booked a non-smoking room and was first sent to... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

I recently stayed at the hotel on a business trip. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to accommodate any need. While their English was not great, they were always ready and willing to do whatever you needed. The rooms were nice, clean and large with many amenities. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

I've stayed at this hotel for several different business trips, due to its location near my place of business. The good points include a friendly and professional staff, decent public spaces, a decent buffet (very good, but not great) and low room rates. The areas that need improvement include the guest rooms (they always smell of lacquer when I'm there),... More

I've stayed here multiple times. Some of the rooms are more upgraded than others, but it's reasonable. Breakfasts are pleasant and service is good. Few western guests which is not a problem, except that alot of the service staff are not accustomed to speaking English. So when I had a question about whether a suit could be dry-cleaned in 6... and I almost ranked this a 4 star, but when I reflected on the things that matter I had to be honest and say 3 is a better indicator. The good points were the size of rooms, facilities, breakfast menu, and in-house restaurants and bars. The bad were the number of times I needed to call engineering to fix problems... More

Kunlun offers a good deal/price for a 5 star business hotel, so it certainly is a fine option, slightly cheaper than the other nearby hotels. The only comment is that you don't see many Western guests there. Staff is not used to speak English and eg breakfast is very Chinese. Still, a good price/quality deal in that area of Beijing.
