The MetroPark LiDo hotel is one of oldest western hotels in Beijing and certainly the most frustrating. It is a relic of the 80s overtaken by change and standards. The hotel is showing significant signs of wear and tear, not just in the rooms and facilities, but in the level of service provide as-well. The hotel provides a range of... More

As a newly retired couple it was time to start bringing some traveling dreams to fruition. Although the thought of going on a kosher trip to China was not our first thought, a series of coincidences brought us first to Rona Michelson then to Shai Bar Ilan. Talk about bashert. Our tour leaders, the Michelson’s, quickly brought us up to... More

We spent several days here while exploring Beijing area attractions with a private guide prior to Asia cruise starting in Tianjin (1.5 hour bus ride). Room was very large and well appointed. Bed comfortable. Mix-up in reservations did not include our breakfasts which we ended up paying for (expensive $$!). Breakfast was very good with huge selection hot and cold... More

Hotel had a nice lobby. Breakfast buffet was great. Starbucks on site (though the coffee wasn't very good). Carpet seemed dingy. Narrow and dark hallways. Not enough English speaking staff. Close to good bakery. Easy cash exchange on site. Staff allowed an exception to let us use the business center after it had closed

Stayed for a night. It is an oldie, but a goodie (in some ways). Essentially it is tired, but it is an old hotel. I guess it is good value and does not pretend to be more than a quality 3 star hotel. A little staleness in the air of the rooms...even sometimes whiffs of stale smoke. It is in... More

This hotel is actually old Holiday Inn under new name. I think it just froze in time. Nice Lobby. Long corridors. Pop-up off white ceiling tiles. Old style from 80th. The rooms are large and perfectly clean. The carpet on a floor is new, but its classical Holiday Inn of the past. New Ownership could do better job. Bathroom plumbing... More

Stayed one night with an early morning departure - the room was comfortable and a good rate. Very disappointed with the wifi - not good band width at all. Rooms are large and you can see the property is older. Breakfast team was very friendly and efficient as was the reception desk

Our package included breakfast. When we showed up for breakfast they said 1 was paid, the rest have to do cash. About 30 bucks per person later we were feeling ripped off. After we alerted our guide to this issue we went through a long drawn out ordeal to get refunded. We needed laundry done so we bucked up to... More

Stayed for a month & very good hotel. Rooms are clean & spacious with good beds/pillows. Plenty of great amenities including paste, brush, comb, ironing. Very friendly staff but less english speaking staffs. Breakfast was good but fruits were not that good! Overall good hotel.
