The Chinese guy who wear the glasses at the reception on April 24, 2015 @21:30. His behavior so bad. He should not work in hotel. I ask him about taxi to go to Tian an men. He try to sell travel package from hotel (cost 900 RMB). I was not interested. Then he make ugly face like look down on... More

Fairly good Hotel,20 min from Airport , without traffic.Close to the Exhibition centre. Old property , but well maintained. Soft comfortable beds and pillows, far better than the usual Chinese Hotels. Street food opp to the Hotel. Subway not in walking distance, though it is in the same road, a couple of bus stops away. Good spread for the Breakfast.... More

This Hotel was formerly operated as Lido Holiday Inn. It has been in business since 1980. The quality and service has not declined, as a matter f fact, it has increased since it switched to Metropark Lido Hotel under a different management. I stayed in this Hotel from March 13 to March 23. My purpose to Beijing was my consulting... More

(The title says it all) When visiting a city as large as Beijing, there really isn't a single "central" location to stay that is convenient to everything. Of course the touristy areas near the Forbidden City have their own local lodgings. But so does the Summer Palace, as well as the famous shopping districts. However Beijing has "pockets" that are... The Hotel is not the newest one but has a extraordinary price-value-ratio. Beside the NUO Hotel and the Crown Plaza it provides clean rooms, a good breakfast and friendly service people. My room was really quiet. Could hear no traffic noice at all. They ar renovating the rooms now one by one. Would come again!

This is the second time that I have stayed in this hotel while visiting Beijing and have enjoyed both my stays. The rooms are a good size, especially when staying on my own. Wifi is free and not too slow. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of western and more traditional Chinese breakfast fare and there are a number... More

Have spent a Family trip within this hotel. it is not the best 3 stars hotel i have ever visited but it makes the job; rooms / bathrooms are cleaned and the breakfast buffet is good and diversified. Pool, Sauna, Gym - accessible from 5:30 to 11pm - make the difference from average to very good rating and wireless is... More

To be honest, other customer reviews made me nervous about this hotel. But those negative folks must have stayed in an alternate universe, because I found the Lido to be a lovely, well appointed hotel with incredibly good service. It's true, not everyone in Beijing speaks English, but it's CHINA. If you want English, stay in an English speaking country.... More

The rooms for sure are not the newest, but therefore every taxi driver knows the "Lido fandian" and will directly take you there. Came here several times on business trip and many of my colleagues still come here. Breakfast is absolutely enough and wide choice from Chinese to Western, staff usually friendly. Good breakout (or return) for the evening is... More

Our requirements for a family trip to Beijing are: easy airport access, swimming pool and breakfast buffet. This hotel meets those requirements, but just scrapes by. Cons: it's an old hotel, a former Holiday Inn and the new owners have not done much to upgrade anything. The rooms aren't anything special, the pool is small and the staff's service was... More
