I brought my two kids to Beijing to meet up my wife at the tail end of her business trip. I chose the hotel primarily for the location and convenience. Sitting atop one of the largest malls in Beijing, I thought it'd be handy if I needed to get anything last minute. Though surprisingly we didn't even once step foot... More

This hotel is in a perfect location in Beijing- centrally located and close to all you would want to see and do. Beijing is a massive city (in terms of land space) so most things you would have to get to require either subway or cabs. This hotel is close to both and connected to a mall which has a... More

Closed from the forbidden city, the hotel has the best situation to bisit beijing. The rooms are aligned with the grand hyatt standard. The service is simply excellent with a very nice lounge. The only point is the wifi which is not totally stable however everything is perfect.

Stayed here with my family. We were 5 and booked a 2 bedroom suite with Executive privileges. The location, as has been commented before, is excellent right in the middle of town but the access to the hotel is very strange and not befitting a prestigious 5 star hotel. You arrive through one of I believe four side access roads... More

This hotel is clean, well positioned and convenient if you are here as a tourist or visiting any of the nearby office blocks (not for CBD or Financial Street, though). The SE Asia tropical themed swimming pool, although somewhat incompatible with the hotel's utilitarian modern style, is big and fun. The rooms are a bit small (I was "upgraded") with... More

Together with Andaz Liverpool Street London, Grand Hyatt Beijing is one of the top two Hyatt Hotels we have stayed around the world. The hotel has been impeccably maintained with courteous staff, and located in an excellent location. The underground pool is jaw dropping gorgeous. It is within a stone throw from Tian'an'men. You can't ask more for a better... More

Impersonal and (I have to say) sort of soulless - you could be anywhere in the world; the sort of 'colonial' attitude that has an architecture and ambiance that you insist on spreading all over the world, in continuous replication of a 'suitable-for-all-places' model. Enough, I think. The main hall is exaggeratedly huge but, then, you have other fundamental spaces... More

My family of 5 stayed here over the Chinese New Year holidays in a 2 bedroom suite at the club level. We had a wonderful stay. The suite is very nice and spacious and the hotel gave each child a stuffed panda bear. A fruit bowl, bottle of wine, chocolates and snacks rounded out the amenities. There was always plenty... More

Stayed back in May of 2013. Everyone in our group enjoyed this hotel as a base of operations for our stay in Beijing. Not sure why, but the air was always less smoggy around this property. Service was not warm and fuzzy, just very professional. Rooms were great, quite and very clean.

A top hotel with everything you could possibly want or need, with nice details like complimentary shoe shine, attentive service, good bar and restaurant and a fantastic pool amd gym area. Well suited for work travel and close to metro station, forbidden city and shopping. Only downside is the constantly long wait for taxis from the hotel.
