Busy and old with a huge foyer typical of international hotels. Lots of events seem to be taking place there. Front desk staff are supposed to be competent in English but some are not really so. They exude no warmth, no smiles and offer no greetings, Did a good job in averting their eyes from you lest you need any... More

A very well laid out and equipped hotel, the buffet was great as is the 1st floor bar especially as we were here over Christmas. The staff were all polite and took care of everything, the rooms are huge with great views of the pollution outside wasn't too bad and also had huge baths which was a good touch.

I have stayed at this place on business about 8 times over the last 18 months, typically for extended stays (8-11 days). I basically use it for proximity to my office and price. The good about the hotel (apart from location) is the rooms - if booking try to make sure that you get something on the 16th floor and... More

This was the 2nd time I've stayed at the Beijing International during a business trip and I can only say that the hotel is very average. It is massive and dated. The previous stay was 5 years ago and it needed updating then so to find it still hadn't been was not good. I specifically requested a non-smoking room -... More

Im sorry, but everything I have to say about this hotel is clouded by the fact that I was ripped off in regard to the laundry service. Given that I did not have a great grasp of the currency and I did not check it properly because, hey this is Asia! Ive had washing done in Bali and Thailand and... More

Stayed three nights while on a business trip to Beijing. This public areas are dated but ok while the rooms remind me of a west Texas Best Western. The bathrooms are crappy and gross while the room is ok. I don't think housekeeping vacuums the floors during the daily cleaning because I kept finding long dark hairs everywhere especially in... Stayed here at the beginning & end of a tour of China with VJV. Both times our room was at the front of the hotel with spectacular views of the main road (lays back a bit) noise was never a problem & the main railway station in Beijing is a short stroll down the road in front & is lit... More

Again an impressive entrance and foyer. this was situated in central city gateway to everything. room was good and on non smoking floor, all usual amenities. More english spoken here .half mile from Tiiannemen Square and Forbidden City. Subway station at bottom of road to go anywhere and very cheap. dined in the cafe and Shanghia restaurant. The food was... More

A typical huge Chinese hotel. A decent 3* hotel by international standards posing as a 5* establishment. A bit worn off reminding that renovation is overdue. Good location within a walking distance to at least two subway stations, shopping district and Tiananmen. Nothing particularly bad about the hotel, but overall an uninspiring stay.

Stayed here for first couple of nights in China. Clean and spacious rooms, but overpriced. No atmosphere, staff seem indifferent to customers. Can find better options in Beijing I think. The location is ok, but we soon moved to the Hutongs for a much more friendly and authentic stay. Cigarette odours pervade the building as well...
