Stayed here at the start and end of our Jules Verne Fortnight in China. Just like a goodclass Western Hotel - expected thousands of people on bikes wearing Mao jackets - actually saw thousands of cars and everyone looking very "western". Outside the hotel there were four range rovers parked - which did seem odd to me. The hotel was... More

Stayed here on business for few days - very good location, convenient to get by almost anywhere within the first circle district. Some of the local attractions are also close by and if you are up to visit Gugun and Tyananmen square its a good choice. The hotel seems to be quite old, not renovated in the last 10 years... More

We chose this hotel because of it's prime location. Just a short walk from the popular shopping malls. The room was clean and comfortable although a bit smaller than I would've liked to. The breakfast buffet was delicious. You can choose from a wide array of food selections. Since we had our breakfast thrice in our stay, I noticed that... More

I booked this place on a reduced rate deal so was a little hesitant at what I'd find, bit it was absolutely fine. I just stayed the one night on business, but it would have been no trouble to stay longer. The rooms were clean, well enough appointed if a little dated. I felt breakfast was a bit on the... More

Location, lobby, most staff, room were outstanding. The breakfast was amazing - so much to choose from. Checking out our fellow travelors were charged and then had to argue over two bottles of water. Not taken care of professionally at all. A bad taste in the mouth left after an otherwise excellent experience. So I'll give the excellent and chalk... More

Really good stay here, not the cheapest but very good service and facilities. Loved the location and could walk out at night to soak up the atmosphere. Revolving restaurant is a must see and while expensive, if it is a clear day or night you get some great views.

As part of a 36 person group tour I can only compare our room experiences with those of my co-passengers including my brother and sister-in-law. Our hotel was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom on the worn side yet functioned, and the location was a long 30 minute walk to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. There was a good mall with plenty... More

This was my first visit to China, and I was pretty culture-shocked with my first steps in Beijing. The hotel made my arrival very comfortable, and the staff had decent-enough English to help me get around the city. Tianenmen Square and the Forbidden Palace are both very close, as is a shopping mall across the street, and the Metro just... More

stayed here for 2 nights I believe, accomodation was fine, breakfast too, a fair selection , did not eat dinner as I thought it was way overpriced, a lot cheaper to eat outside the hotel complex, sorry hotel managers but your driving diners away !

This hotel is touted as a five star luxury hotel, and the prices are very high for China, but in reality, it is nothing special. The rooms are spacious, but not very well kept up and old. The night we checked in we were given all smoking rooms because they didn't have any non-smoking rooms left, despite the fact that... More
