I found this hotel excellent, staff were helpful and communicated well in English. I was travelling with my husband and 13 year old son so we had an extra bed in the room however the room was more than big enough to accommodate the bed and the extra bed was a proper bed rather than a put me up style... We stayed at the Beijing International as part of our China Tour package and were not disappointed. The hotel rooms were quite spacious, the staff (although only few spoke English) were very polite and always helpful. The hotel is just across the road from a large shopping centre and is close to many of Beijing's attractions. We were able to... More

This hotel was booked for as a part of a tour that we did across mainland China. I was not expecting much of the hotel as most of the lodges booked by a travel agency for a tour are mainly rundown hotels that are cheaper for them. This was not the case. The hotel is huge, with super high end... More

This is a lovely hotel, situated almost directly across from Tiananmen Square, and well situated for easy access to many of Beijing's landmarks. The interior is quite grand, and the service is impressive, as is the number of staff who speak English.

According to my local guide in Beijing, The Beijing International was one of the first Five Star hotels built after the communists took over in 1949. The public areas, restaurants, cafés, meeting areas are all stunning areas. Big, we'll maintained and Impressive. The guest rooms however are a little tired and dated, particularly the bathrooms which could definitely use updating.... More

This is a very nice and upscale hotel. Most of the staff speaks at least a functional level of English, which is helpful. There is a very nice restaurant and international breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffett serves a variety of foods, including vegetarian and halal. What I did not like is that the guest rooms do not have ironing boards... More

We were there to meet up with a Circle The Pacific Cruise on Princess. The Hotel was fantastic. Check in was great and easy with English Speaking front desk. The room was excellent with all amenities even a comb/hair brush plus soap, shampoo, body lotion etc. Breakfast was a Great Buffet wich you should order in advance are it is... More

Stayed here at the start and end of our Jules Verne Fortnight in China. Just like a goodclass Western Hotel - expected thousands of people on bikes wearing Mao jackets - actually saw thousands of cars and everyone looking very "western". Outside the hotel there were four range rovers parked - which did seem odd to me. The hotel was... More

Stayed here on business for few days - very good location, convenient to get by almost anywhere within the first circle district. Some of the local attractions are also close by and if you are up to visit Gugun and Tyananmen square its a good choice. The hotel seems to be quite old, not renovated in the last 10 years... More
