We stayed at the Peninsula on our first visit to Beijing. It is located a few blocks away from the forbidden city, and is near the famous shopping street. The service is impeccable. It is worth it to stay in the club level rooms which allow you to breakfast in the private dining room each morning. The service and food... More

We were surprised to discover when we arrived that the hotel lobby is in fact a shopping mall with reception a couple of desks squeezed over in the right hand corner. For us this gave the hotel no atmosphere. The lobby cafe cum bar was simply a roped off part of the mall. Even the singer in the evening simply... More

Unless you've been to all the hotels in the world, you can't say this is the best...but it would have to be close. Got upgraded to a two floor suite, with a fantastic view over Beijjng and only 100 paces from the rooftop cocktail bar. Can't find fault with anything. Service, food, drinks, location... all perfect.

I don't know why this hotel is categorized as a "restaurant" here on Tripadvisor. Anyway, the Peninsula Beijing is an elegant hotel updated with modern facilities. It was the best hotel I have stayed at in Beijing. The rooms are large, and updated. The staff were helpful, courteous, and really know how to ensure that their guests' stay is impeccable.... More

Rooms went clean, service is good, location as well. A bit pricy but that's what it ever was. The 30 years of age can be recognized. Inside of the room its usually quiet, some guests behave very Chinese... Staff for cleaning service is not always the quietest but ok so far

Was just at this wonderful hotel 4/25 and the pictures don't do it justice. The hotel is centrally located with plenty of shops, banks, and sightseeing areas within walking distance. The rooms are big and super clean. The service was on point.

After a short trip from Beijing to Singapore with my wife and on our way back home to the U.S. we stayed at this hotel two nights this week , very nice hotel , nice location , good restaurants nearby , rooms are kind of small but comfortables , overall a good a hotel to stay.

Great location but room was not up to Peninsula standard. Moldy bathroom tiles, dirty carpet, air conditioning not working properly and room/halls smelled like cigarettes. (I was on a non smoking floor) The lobby was lovely and the breakfast buffet (not included in our room rate) was terrific. The Concierge was helpful in securing our train tickets to Shanghai via... Prices very reasonable. Good breakfasts. Right on pedestrian street leading to the forbidden city. Staff helpful. No complaints. Only negative is that their roof top bar is closed (for renovations) so there is not go on site spot for drinks. Lounge lobby too much like a high end shopping mall. If a stylish post work drink is required i recommend... More

We had a lovely time here and as I celebrated my birthday while staying at the peninsula I was delighted to come back to my room and be welcomed by a chocolate mousse cake and card from the staff. It's the special attention to detail that makes one want to recommend this lovely hotel.
