This hotel is in a great location, right next to Tian'anmen Square/Forbidden City and Wangfujing. Although it is a bit old, it still has beautiful facilities. When we checked in, the front desk upgraded us to a Forbidden City View and gave us a welcome fruit platter. Overall the service was excellent and the room had a beautiful view!

We booked this hotel to be able to explore the sights surrounding Tienanmen Square (about 1 km away) over a weekend. The hotel is very nice and clean and the service is efficient. Even though we booked a room, the hotel offered a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The reception staff was very helpful and they helped us book a... More

The hotel is in a good location. We stayed here on two occasions the first time we had a room overlooking the forbidden city for two nights. The second time we had a twin room. Both rooms were good. The beds were comfortable with nice linen. Unfortunately the internet isn't brilliant, however that appears to be normal for China in our... More

The location of the hotel was fantastic. Food in the restaurant was good enough.. Try their stir fry vegetables. Hotel room is okay but air con is off because of the season. My husband & I were practically sweating at night ! You have to open up the window so some cold air could get in. The bathroom was quite... More

Its was a great location that near Forbidden City and Wangfujing Da Jie, easy to get subway(MTR) by walk like withthin 8-10mins from hotel! The hotel dont provided the free shuttle bus from airport, but its okay for us just took about 40mins by using subway from airport! They had upgrade us to the deluxe room for free! wow! (maybe... Veri Good location near the key attractions in the center. Great view to Forbidden city if you are at the proper side and high floor. Don't let the traditional gates picture mislead you. These gates are basically all that has a traditional style in the hotel. But this is no way a 5 star hotel. Very weak 4 stars may... More

This is a nice place - it has lots of character. But meals there are expensive and the internet service frustratingly poor. My room had a wonderful view on the Forbidden City but was not soundproof, so the honking and other traffic sounds were a bit of a nuisance.

-Great hotel overall with very nice rooms and a great view from the upper floors; it;'s billed as a five star and would be if it wasn't for the lousy WIFI connections and a very uncomfortable lobby with only a few chairs and a great empty space you can stand to connect to the web. Breakfast buffet is very nice... More

The hotel is located just a few minutes walk away from TianAnMen Square, Forbidden City, WangFuJing, and the Centre for Performing Arts. It is also just in between of 2 metro stations, TianAnMen East and WangFuJing, each about 4 mins walk. The property itself may be a little dated, but it's clean and everything works well. I arrived at the... More
