We stayed for 3 nights in October and unfortunately it was not a particularly great experience. The hotel is in need of modernization - considering the cost, I had more expectations. No free wifi in the room, the food in the restaurant was expensive and poor value for money. We had a terrible check in experience, thanks largely to an... More

I stayed only one night at the Sheraton Hotel to meet some friends in Beijing. Its a typical old style Sheraton Hotel, the lady for check in was very nice and friendly. The building itself would need some renovation. Lobby area very dark, I had the feeling I am time traveling back to the seventies. My hotel room was not... More

Very drafty hotel. Visited in November and had to wear a jacket to breakfast and to the lobby. Very drafty or heater is not working. It was like eatting outside the temperature was so cold. About 500RMb to and from Airport. About 1000RMB to Great Wall, about an hour drive. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean

This place needs to be legit shut down. Platinum guests beware you will not be upgraded and these rooms are horrible!! It's like a flashback to 1980 when you step inside...staff is super rude and couldn't care less to be accommodating and many of them have limited if any English proficiency. Scratchy sheets, sticky humid room, club lounge is nice... More

This hotel is well known to be far past its prime. Anyone expecting a luxury experience in Beijing well not find it here, but it remains a solid three star property. If you are Starwood Platinum, forget about upgrades to the two renovated floors (17&18). I hear they are nice. At check in, it was explained to me that these... More

I was in Beijing on business and stayed 7 nights at this hotel. The hotel itself seemed very old and in need of an update. However, the room was comfortable and the price was terrific, I paid 100 yuan per night. The staff was very friendly and everyone I encountered spoke English. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a... More

-extremely old and dated with poor maintainance -smelly changing room and dirty floor -the worst breakfast ever on good quality -somewhat helpful staff -little platinum recognition, I requested a normal room at the refurbished level, they refused to give me even though they have plenty vacant room and despite my ambassador platinum status. -disguising room pictures showing the refurbished rooms...
