Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, the hotel is very basic and the location either isn't great at all. The rooms are dirty and very small. The location has very basic supermarkets around and nothing else. Everything else is a good 4-5 kms away. Also, the english of the staff is very poor and we had to eventually give... More

Hotel across road from railway station and close to Tiananmen Square. Rooms very small and badly in need of refurbishing. Breakfasr area large, clean, comfortable searing and a great variety of food. Bathroom supplies somewhat stingy. Judging by our own room we could not recommend it for a long stay.

Stayed for 4 days with my Family in the Paragon. Although the rooms were ok (except for a large assortment of condoms in the bathroom offered for sale), the service was the poorest I've experienced in a very long time. The staff were like Robots, unfriendly, no hello, no smile, no English. The breakfast was below average, however, we ate at... More

The hotel is very conveniently located in front of the central train station. It is perfect for short stays if you have to catch a train early in the morning. The rooms are clean, although a bit small. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is an absolute highlight, with plenty of both western and chinese choices served in a... More

Walking into the bathroom of this hotel we found one small piece of soap that appeared to have been re wrapped in glad wrap from a previous guest and one small tube of shampoo. The vanity was covered in a large display of condoms and we had the choice of about 8 different types. we found this totally offensive and... More

Got booked in here while on tour. Comfortable enough but a few gripes including: Can be noisy. I should have looked at recommendations. But other guests add to din. Walls about as soundproof as tissue paper. In house restaurants not promoted (might be a good thing?) so a pain if not able to go further afield for meals. On the... More

The hotel is in a good location, just steps form a subway station and walking distance from historical city (about 20min). Staff speak a little english but enouth to help you. Concierge service is very good, they can arrage tours for a fair price and talk to cab drivers to direct you to your destination.

In 2008 this hotel was closer to a 4 stars hotel. Nowadays it seems outdated, with old furniture and mold on the bathroom tiles. Excellent breakfast, perfect location, good price-value, but the staff would need to brush on their English skills. Compliments to the young male receptionist who covers the daytime shift - he seems to take the most of... More

I stayed at this hotel only as a one-night thing for the convenience of getting to the railway station in the morning. The staff at reception weren't terribly friendly, but efficient. The room was small but manageable. The fit-out was very dated and so was the iron and ironing board that I had to call reception for. The wifi in... More
