Limited choice of foods in the hotel restaurant. Compliments goes to concierge staff, very helpful in getting taxi to anywhere and directiond given was very precise and accurate. The New Otani is a breath of fresh air located in central Beijing. Clean, modern and hip with a spectacular breakfast buffet. The staff is excellent and speaks English well. They go above and beyond to help and you are a 125RMB ride from the airport. Close by is the China Philharmonic, Silk Street, Tian'amen Square and the Forbidden City.

no complaints from me about the hotel, approximately 30 min from airport @ 100 RMB making it easy to get to. Everything to a good standard, nothing wrong with my room and the cost was reasonable. Has an excellent buffet restaurant on the ground floor. Be careful at the airport taxi rank i got a proper taxi, however the driver... More

We arrived at this hotel after a 14 hour flight from Toronto, and couldn't have been happier with the service and the hotel. It is very clean and modern. The girls quite liked the heated toilet seats! The breakfast buffet had something for everyone you can mix your Western breakfast with traditional Chinese breakfast and it was all excellent. The... I stayed there as part of my tour package. I came in a few days earlier than my tour started and they were able to accomodate me at the discounted rate. I asked for a king room, but was given two doubles. The room was nice, but you could tell the hotel was old. It has a western toilet and... More

There is aesthetic appeal to the rooms, but the design is totally non-functional. There are no windows, no air conditioning, and the whole room smells of stale soft water. It is HOT in this room. I asked the front desk what to do about the heat and they said "Just turn the AC off." Are you kidding me? Big and... More

I stayed here as part of an organized tour and was impressed. The hotel is very clean, rooms were great and service was friendly. They have a very large breakfast buffet, but I didn't think the food was necessarily spectacular. It has a pretty convenient location near embassy row. There is a metro stop just across the street, easy access... More

We stayed in this hotel as a part of the tour of China. The hotel is well located. Walking distance from Embassy row. It is 2 blocks from the subway (Red Line) with just 3 stops to Tian' Anmen square. The bathroom is spacious with heated toilet seats. Buffet breakfast is very good. Staff is very helpful and attentive

Very impressive reception area. Great breakfast selection. You can watch people doing Tai Che (sorry about the spelling) in the garden area whilst having breakfast - first class. Bar area upstairs was a bit "business like" but you can also have a drink in the evening in the garden area (only until 11pm) Very pleasant staff - even though their... More
