Hotel is part of our Goway tour package and the first on our itinerary. Very clean, good central location. You could walk to Tiananmen Square...although bit of a hike but might be faster than traffic moves sometimes! Breakfast buffet is outstanding with good mix of western and Asian dishes. Used the same dining room one evening--also buffet but was less... More

This was a fantastic hotel. I spent 5 days here. Modern room with a fantastic view of the old city wall; amazing fitness center and pool; awesome bathroom with a high tech toilet; great location steps from a very central subway stop, so everything in Beijing was extremely easy to access. The front desk staff could speak better English, but... More

Really nice five star hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and bathrooms come with a Japanese style toilet - an interesting experience as had never come across one before! The food in the hotel is also nice, you can get a mix of Chinese and European/Western style foods. It is a nice touch and perhaps gives guests an option of having... More

The hotel is situated in a central location that is closer to the CBD area for businesspersons and a good 35 minutes walk to the shopping district of Wang Fu Jing and Tiananmen Square. The rooms are spacious and the front desks are very helpful. Do bear in mind that this is a Japanese branded hotel with a focus on... More

This was a great hotel! I stayed here as part of a traveling tour for work and found this to be one of the nicest places we stayed as we travelled throughout China. I had a complaint about the room being too stuffy and they quickly moved me to a cooler room on the opposite side of the buliding. The... More

Good location, plenty of room and good service, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and I recommend it. Plenty of channels on the television, and though the government was clumsily trying to censor the BBC coverage of the Hong Kong democracy protests, that wasn't the hotel's fault. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. There is shopping and... More

The New Otani is a breath of fresh air located in central Beijing. Clean, modern and hip with a spectacular breakfast buffet. The staff is excellent and speaks English well. They go above and beyond to help and you are a 125RMB ride from the airport. Close by is the China Philharmonic, Silk Street, Tian'amen Square and the Forbidden City.
