Stayed here for 5 days middle of April. Had rooms on non-smoking floor - this is very important if the smell is an issue for you. Rooms were spacious and clean. Free toiletries and water re-stocked daily. Staff polite and helpful. Good selection of in-house food places. Close to major tourist attractions - even Wang Fu Jing shopping area is... More

We are a family of four stayed there for 3 days .Easy checking, comfortable and clean. Walking distance to Forbidden city , Tiananmen Square and National railways museum . Breakfast is normal and not WOW. There is a small shop in tow minutes walking from the hotel for buying water or some snacks. Wifi was free in the room. Yes,we will... More

Spent 3 nights. Could not order eggs over easy at the breakfast buffet even though that and scrambled were only options on room service menu but cook did not speak English Many other choices and did not go hungry. Other reviewers commented on dim lighting in hall ways and rooms. Dim lighting in hallways, but once you figure out all... More

This was a 15 hour flight for us but China is worth it. We landed in Beijing and stayed at the Capital Hotel. A very nice four star hotel with a fine restaurant and large, comfortable rooms. The staff spoke English and went out of their way to please you. I wasn't crazy about the food in China but the... More

A huge hotel complex in a great central Beijing location in terms of attractions. Multiple dining options in house. Many conference rooms. Also numerous good restaurants around. Rooms are spacious, clean, and generally reasonably equipped but old fashioned and feel dusty. And the food and even coffee in house is mediocre and expensive. The size of the complex makes access... A huge hotel with lots of places to eat inside. Clean room, comfortable bed and extras including slippers and dressing gown to use. It is a short walk from Tiananmen square and the Temple of heaven. I would stay there again.

We had booked a deluxe room for 5nights and was upgrade for free upon arrival. This room was huge on the 9th floor! The room itself was very clean and neat however like the hotel is a little dated with there decor. We only had the buffet breakfast option. The food was very good, with a large selection of western... More

This is one of the older hotels owned by the State. It definitely has seen it's better days. The furnishing and the bathroom were outdated and not completely functional. It takes 20 - 25 minutes (not exaggerating) to get the hot water up to the 16th floor. Two of the nights, the circuit breakers were going off like christmas lights,... More
