This hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms were large, quiet, clean and comfortable. It is located a short block from a main street in Beijing. So, the location is good. But, you do need to be careful walking, as cars and bikes use the same narrow street. The hotel staff were nice, but very few knew much... More

Located down a hutong (alley), but a very quiet and safe location, and around the corner from a good local restaurant. Felt like I was part of the neighborhood, because we passed the same sites on the street on our way to/from the hotel, and no one bothered us even though we obviously were foreigners. Very comfortable room; really tasty... More

I aririved for my reservation and was told they left Best Western and could not honor my reservation. I ended up paying double what my reservation rate was and the new rate did not include breakfast. I also got put in a lower room quality than I booked. The Desk Clerk even started at more than double my reservation rate... More

This is a nice hotel conveniently located in a hutong near a metro stop and the Forbidden City. This made it easy to get to from airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. The concierge was great in getting me to a nice local place to eat the first night. He even stuck around and ordered for me.

My girlfriend and I were dropped off at the end of an alley late evening and were a bit apprehensive about walking to the hotel but had no concerns at all after the initial first walk. Very safe area for women traveling alone. Breakfast was provided and was very good. Though not too many employees spoke English, we were able... More

To get to this hotel you have to walk in an alley a ways as our bus could not fit into this alley. Rooms were quite small with hardly any space to place your clothes in. They do provide water, one for each occupant. A tea pot is included for hot water and tea is provided.

Very interesting hotel. Backstreet China but walking distance to historical Beijing. Room are elaborate, but well done. Very spacious. Buffet is primarily Chinese, but a western meal can be made. Although close to subway, I suggest you get there by cab the first time and then feel free to wander through real China.

We booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews. We new it was on a small street, but were amazed that this nice hotel was built in a Hutong. In most cities people would never walk done this street, in Beijing, which is a very very safe city, its the norm. The Hutong is just a simple place for people... More

Part of the reason I selected the hotel was due to the location in the hutongs of Beijing. Yes, it is a bit tucked away off the main road, but that is part of the charm. You can wander around the hutongs and I thought the surrounding neighborhood of shops and restaurants offered a good sample of Beijing lifestyle. Plus... More

This hotel was booked for us by Lead to China. We were very impressed with the hotel itself as the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean and the staff tried to communicate in English. The breakfast was excellent, western and Chinese. Yes, it is down an alley, but that is so neat! It's a... More
