I staid in a dorm, which was clean and large enough, the bathrooms are adequate and the bar is well-stocked. Breakfast is ok, but rather look for a place nearby for better food at same prices. Some staff speak English

Fantastic hostel at a super cheap price- worked out at around £5 a night to stay. Wifi was free and there was a restaurant and bar which served food and drink to quite late into the night at reasonable prices. The outside was really pretty with swing chairs and deck chairs so was nice to chill in the morning for... More

I've been in this hostel in February 2015 for 6 nights with my friend. We were here for the New Year celebration. The dormitory is very cheap and the position is good, in a nice Hutong street, near the metro station. The hostel is clean, both rooms and bathrooms and staff was really kind. I don't like that there isn't... More

Great location for activities, helpful staff, clean areas, and really good value for money. Helped me retrieve lost luggage from airport with successful results! I would recommend any hostel goers to stay here :)

This hostel has a very good courtyard, which is great for meeting people, reading, relaxing, and sun-lounging. It is also very close to the nearest subway station. This station is well-connected making it extremely easy to get around Beijing

Probably, it was the baddest hotel-hostel, where i was. It´s not about the room, it about the attention to people, the guy in the reception has been really unfriendly, didn´t want to answer the question. So that, it wasn´t any smile or something, it´s really was bad impression totally. In sequence, the hotel need to think about the stuff their... More

Lovely, peaceful place and beautiful interior in the middle of a lively hutong with everything essential very close: subway station, restaurant street, all kinds of shops, luxury department stores, airport express station, even a "tourist hutong lane" within 1000 m, 30 minutes walk to the BeiHai lakes etc. Nice clean rooms. Very nice for budget travellers, those who appreciate to... More

The key to finding this place for the first time is, have a chinese friend write the address in chinese characters for you or if not, those booking sites where you booked your accommodation usually have the chinese address of Ming Courtyard. This place is awesome, the ambience makes you feel like you are in suburbs but by the time... More

The Ming courtyard is a bit tricky to find, but that adds to the real hutong experience. No problem to find if you just phone the hostel and give phone to the taxi driver or it is really simple if you take the Beijing airport express subway. The courtyard itself is very vibey and tranquil,. I stayed in the dorms and... More

My husband and I stayed in a two bed mixed dorm and our adult daughter stayed in the 3 bed female dorm. We enjoyed staying in a real hutong and seeing some authentic Beijing living. This is an unrenovated hutong, not like the touristy ones on the other side of town. It was also close to the subway and the... More
