Every time I visit Beijing, I stay here. The place a a certain charm and ambiance that gives a true feeling of ancient China, along with the conveniences of modern day. Obviously this property have had or still is going under a few names, I booked it under the name of Qianmen Courtyard Hotel. Keyword here is budget I sense, especially as the locations is super but also a little complicated to find. My tip, dated oct-2013, is to aim for the H&M signs on the opposite side of the Qianmen... (Usually called Qianmen Courtyard Hotel). This was the first hotel I have ever left early. We were going to stay here for 4 nights, but we left after the first. I stayed at this hotel because I wanted to feel more of Chinese culture and although this hotel is over 100 years old, it is simply beautiful.
