Right in the heart of the historic hutong district, you are within walking distance of great night life and restaurants. Easy access to transportation to all the major tourist destinations. Friendly staff who went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything we needed. Very quiet, it feels like an oasis in the middle of the hectic and... More

Hotel is located in a Hutong which provides great insight into Chinese daily life. Plus was close to main attractions (e.g. drum/bell tower, HouHai lakes) via walking or short taxi. Best part of this Hotel is the staff who spoke good English, were kind and helpful with any questions. staff were happy to check us in a 4.30am in the... More

This place has such a ideal location. Room is not too big but tidy and basically providing what we needed. However we found the atmosphere in here was really quiet and little boring. Staff need to be much more and active and friendlier. We did trying to chat but felt like " it is distance btw customer and hotel staff".... More

Really we liked everything about the hotel and would rate it 10 out of 10. Staff were helpful and lovely and the location was awesome - right in the heart of hutong life. On our last night we were kindly included in a tradtional music concert and great dinner - all for no extra charge. Fantastic street food and cool... More

This hotel is a great place to stay. You really feel like you are in China, rather than being in a clinical hotel in the CBD. It felt very old and authentic ( in a good way!!) and still with all the modern comforts including free wifi Situated in a Hutong, just outside your door are loads of tiny shops,... More

We loved this hotel. The staff spoke great English. The staff were kind and incredibly helpful. You need to ask to have your room clean and wait for hot water but the rest of the hotel was so warm and homey we hardly minded. It is in a great neighborhood with lots of store fronts, people out, children running about,... More

The hotel was very good, charming and clean, only a bit difficult to find as it is located in a small street. It is basically a big house turned into an hotel. We were in a big room provided with all comforts. The people that worked there were always extremely helpful. We loved the neighbourhood. Definitely authentic!

A boutique hotel carries authentic Beijing traditional courtyard style, sits in the heart of old Beijing. Our room came with a private patio. Very friendly staff. Give the breakfast a miss though, if you aren't used to the Chinese Congee and meat buns. There are tons of eateries near by. The Ming dynasty drum tower and Houhai bar district are... More
