Great location easy walk from subway station with friendly and accommodating staff. The dorm beds are big and really soft for Chinese standards- which was a pleasant surprise. The courtyard provides a beautiful oasis from the bustling city streets just 150m away and the rooftop patio is full of colorful flowers. One morning there was even someone practicing the flute... The hostel is close to the forbidden city and it is in a nice district. We stayed there for 5 days, in a mixed room. The rooms are clean and also the restroom. Moreover the staff speak english and they are really nice with guests! The lobby of the hostel is really cool. I suggest this hostel.

The best advice I can give you is stay in the ensuite dorms, those are the ones inside that gorgeous building you see in the pictures, the other dorms are across the street. This hostel has a bar, restaurant, and tour desk!!! It is right off the subway stop and easy to find. You get off at Zhangzizhong Lu Station,... More

The staff were so helpful here- helped me to book my train ticket back to Shanghai for a tiny fee and their directions were also very helpful. I liked the location down a quiet street, felt very relaxed. The bedrooms and communal areas were great and very clean- great facilities including free safety depositi box at reception plus extra locker... More

We arrived at the hostel at around 0100. The hostel was a bit difficult to find since its in a small alley/street. We initially booked the 6-bed dorm en-suite, but only to find out that we didn't have a private toilet/shower. Bed is OK and cozy, Room is also OK but a bit small. We went there during end of... We stayed two night in this hotel. The service was good and the communal area was comfy and well decorated. But the room was really small for the price we payed. Wifi is not accessible from the rooms. Exteriors seemed nice but we went there during winter, so we couldn't enjoy it.

Although it is nice, this place is definitely too expesive for what it offers, if compared to surrounding places. The architecture is great: hostel is located in a traditional hutong building, and my provate room was nice. Reception staff was also very nice. Anyway, prices are really high, if compared to some surrounding places. Breakfast is just soso and it... More

I spent a few nights here before starting a G adventures tour through China - really glad I chose Peking Yard. Friendly, helpful staff and met some nice fellow travellers. Good sized communal area with comfy couches, free pool table and reasonable wifi (no access in rooms which is fairly typical). Great area (and no road noise), staying in a... More

This place was so awesome! After our journey through SEA we had a layover in China and stayed here for one night. The cafe/inside of the main building was sooo cute and clean with beautiful plants and decor. Our room was a little pricey but it was very comfortable and clean with great sheets and comforter. All of the comments... More

We spent here 6 nights with a family of 5 in October 2013. We booked a room for 6. The room was ok. The beds were comfortable, but there was not a lot of empty space though in the room. The toilets and showers were shared and located in the hallway, but we knew that beforehand so it was ok.... More
