We found this hotel in Fodor's as one they recommend. We originally had reservations at the Intercontinental, but decided we would like to go "off the beaten track" and immerse ourselves in the culture of the place we were visiting If that is what you want and also imperial treatment, then DuGe is the place for you. At first my... More

Enjoyable stay! We were here for four nights. Very charming premises and grounds with a nice tea house; sharing a pot of Pu 'er on their terrace was a nice experience. The room, Gold Lotus, was a little tight, but workable, and the bed was very comfortable. Some rooms are larger. Good mixture of western and Chinese dishes at breakfast.... More

We had a confirmed booking at this hotel at the end of September for several nights. The hotel have just informed our agent that they have cancelled our booking because they had a request from another agent to book the whole hotel for a group. So make sure you have an alternative in mind if you book here!

This hardly ever happenend in other hotels : here I took photos of the rooms, they were all so beautiful. Very well situated in a quiet hutong and near a very amusing little street full of shops and restaurants. A peaceful place in a vibrant city !

THis courtyard hotel is 1 of the most elegantly decorated hotel in Beijing. The decor is a blend of east & west. Stunning! conveniently located near nanluoguxiang mrt station(subway), this hotel is next to the quaint shopping street. The staff are friendly & helpful.I arrived at 1030pm & Andy who was on duty that night, welcomed me & searched on... More

For the bang of the buck, this hotel is a disappointment for its claim as a boutique hotel. This is one of those hotels that will "awe"you for their deceptive photography skills that they exhibit in their website. We booked for three nights, right after arriving we realized the service was below par due to the mismanagement of our luggage and the hotel... More

We wanted a hutong hotel experience in Beijing rather than a western business hotel. The DuGe courtyard disappointed in significant ways. While the location in the hutong was charming, the hotel itself was unsatisfactory. The room was tiny--seriously tiny. There was no spot for our two small suitcases except to use all of the floor space. There was noplace to... More

I stayed for the second time beeing on a business trip. I felt in love with that hidden place in this typical chineese style. This time I have choosen the Bamboo room, which war large (2 rooms) and comfortable. To spend the evening sitting in the courtyard is an experience by itself. The Cigar room provides some french wined along... More

We checked in late at 9pm and got a room (Golden Lotus) where the air conditioning was broken. The staff didn't believe until we left it running for 2 hours and I was still suffocating, it was 35 degrees outside. We switched to the White Room which had poor soundproofing and many stains on the furniture cushions. The worst part... More
