I've been traveling with my girlfriend around the world for four months and we've stayed in some questionable hostels/hotels/air bnb rooms/couchsurfing couches on our journey. We just got off the trans-siberian rail after six full days in a train compartment with two other people without shower facilities so we're accustomed tight spaces, odd smells, and lack of privacy. With that... More

We only spent one night in this hotel and picked it so we could stay in a hutong hotel at an affordable price (about $30 a night). The hotel had a fun layout, centered around a nice courtyard (too cold to use in March). The rooms all open an semi-enclosed hallway but the room was warm. The room was very... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Friendly staff and clean place, although the hotel can improve a bit on their housekeeping effort - beds were not made by the hotel during our entire stay there. Toilet paper was only replenished on day 1 and we had to ask for those from the front desk on the other day. The in... More

I stayed at Lotus Hostel one month - and I really can recommend it. the atmosphere is great and after a busy day in Beijings streets, the peaceful courtyard is like a oasis. The staff is nice and friendly and the manager Samantha speaks English and French fluently. She is very helpful with anything - from a tour to the... More

Excellent hostel, very very friendly and knowledgeable staff, good location close to subway. Good atmosphere and very spacious courtyard, I would go back if travelling to Beijing again. Good restaurant, very convenient. Stayed in a double-bed room, and it was just fine. Good for people looking to have a good stay and meet people in a relax set up. Organized... More

Staff and place were great. Very quiet location with a beautiful inner courtyard in a Hutong near to plenty of nice restaurnts and Xidan shopping area. But I stayed for 4 nights and they did not clean bathrooms or bedrooms over all this time!

I loved this hostel as the reviews state before its a charming place with a great selection of room types and prices. I would recommend getting a room with a bathroom as the shared ones weren't great. OK for two days but i was glad to leave to get back to my bathroom at home!!! Bring a towel or buy... More

Pleasant and friendly hostel in a quiet hutong in the West of Beijing. Plenty of buses to where you wanted to go and the Houhai bar area is within walking distance. Interesting range of prices (rack rates): from GBP4 dorms to GBP110 for a couple of spectacularly-furnished heritage rooms. I meant to ask how much they'd really charge... We paid... More

Beijing Lotus Hostel was a really nice choice for the single traveler. And I here the double rooms are great as well. The building was clean and bright and felt very welcoming. They had a wonderful, friendly and professional staff. The common room was really nice with lots of options for things to do. There was a tv and dvd... More
