This hotel gives strange second feelings... It is certainly grandiose in concept, marble floors , exotic caged birds, concierge with turban at door, attentive smiling service at reception, sumptuous couches in lounges... Spent the day and it was the typical Chinese version of a western resort. The architecture is a mixture of everything. French, English country, Egyptian etc. The decorations are what they think the west looks like. We went to the Lakeview cafe which is not a lake but a pond. I stayed at this hotel for on week in easter. I had a very nice time. First of all this is a very nice hotel. Way too nice to be called Holiday Inn. The hotel looks very new, the rooms are lovely.
