This is definitely a seven star hotel (or even more!). It's just perfect! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the room (I stayed in a junior suite) is gorgeous fully equipped, totally new and clean!! The pool is awesome and clean! The food is great! I recommend to visit the bar at the 21st floor!! The only drawback (which... More

We stayed at Pangu 7 star hotel for 11 days in Oct this year. My whole family really enjoy the time in the hotel. They provided us excellent 7 star services!!!!! The view from our room is stunning. Hotel staff are very friendly and efficient. Before we leave the hotel, they offered us a free afternoon tea, a nice cake... More

I agree with many of the comments. Large and very well equipped rooms. Clean and well maintained. More asian in concept and cuisine, if you want a more western hotel the Intercontinental may be a better choice. Generally an excellent package, though again it is surprising how few front of house staff speak English.

We went to the World Championship Athletics and spent 9 days at the Birds Nest Stadium. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Stadium and it was a nice 10 minute walk from hotel to seat. As it is not part of a chain and a very chinese hotel, there were few english speakers which at times... More

For a 7 star hotel I was deeply disappointed with my stay. On of my biggest frustrations was the lack of finding someone that spoke English on the phone. Everything I called for room service or anything I needed took me forever to get someone to understand. Half way though the first night my air conditioner stopped working and had... More

Location is fantastic, views are awesome, however it is no more than an average 5 star hotel. The rooms, especially suites are impressive, no question about that. Very high quality bathrooms for the suites with French marble baths and unique artworks in the room. However, I found it quite amazing that for a so called 7 star hotel that very... More

We stayed here whilst attending the recently held World Athletics Championships held in the Bird's Nest Stadium. Hotel was picked for its location to the stadium (walking distance) and because our booking at another hotel was cancelled when it was taken over by the Chinese government - wasn't too pleased at the time, but now very grateful that this did... The people, the gym, the food, the rooms. Not sure where to start about this hotel near the Bird's Nest. Everything was wonderful, well-furnished and designed with the discerning traveler -- both domestic and international -- in mind. I was told more than once about how expensive the place is but I don't really agree. For what you get --... More

Spent 3 nights here whilst in transit. Chose to stay in the green zone near the Olympic Village and try to avoid the smog in central Beijing. The city centre was not smoggy and travel from here was difficult. The hotel is 5 star ( certainly not on par with Burj al Arab so I fail to see the 7... More

What a place to find in Beijing, PRC. Dripping in the utmost Imperial opulence. 7 star indeed - lobsters on tap: cold, warm, freshly steamed. Walls of them. Quite extraordinary. The seafood is definitely the draw here. There were scallops, mussels, prawns and a surprisingly small oyster showing. It really was eat-lobsters-till-you drop and the clientele were certainly not shy... More
