We stayed 3 nights at the Templeside Guesthouse. The location is great, since most sights are in walking distance or easily connected by Metro. Had a really hard time initially find our Hostel, but once we got there it was sunshine and smiles all the way. The hostel is basic with shared bathroom and toilets but has all the extras you need such as free wifi, Laundry facilities, no insect infestation and great staff. It is a very contradictory place. In one hand the staff (who else than JoJo) is excellent. They work their souls out, very friendly and kind (invite you to dinner, try to help you arranging whatever you need etc.), even despite the excessive load and stress they have. If you don't speak Chinese, you may want to print the map of the hostel location, with Chinese street names, in order to find the hostel the first time. Well, I can't add much to the other reviews. It is so nice to stay with people that treat you like family, rather than as a part of business that has to be done. I will miss the smiling faces and their charming son! I highly recommend this hostel...5 stars! more
