After reading all the reviews I thought it will be great and relaxing place to stay at the end of our journey in China... I was mistaken. The hotel was in a good location, clean and uniquely design but the room was very small, there was a kettle and cups but no tea or coffee...this may seem as a small thing... More

Loved the decors, the room and also the location Price was really friendly on the wallet and there was a very nice breakfast as well. The guide (Bob) was very friendly and helpful, speaks good english too! Want to live in a traditional rustic yet convenient location? :) Here you go

We booked our room in advance due to the visa requirements of China. Based on the reviews, we booked the hotel. Upon arrival, I presented the printed map and address and gave it to the taxi driver. He called the hotel and the staff directed him to the hotel since it's hard to find in a small alley (hutong). Since... More

What a great find this was, tucked away in a little hutong in Beijing. Very small courtyard hotel with a fabulous Manager Bob who went the extra mile at all times, helping with tours, train tickets etc. We meet some fabulous travelers while staying here. The accommodation is fairly basic, but its all you need, would definately go back here

We loved or time here. There were 9 of us in the group, so the central courtyard was great fro hanging out in. Bob was the best, very helpful with directions. It is very close to eating, subway, atms. If you're not used to Asia, you may feel a little apprehensive your first time in the back alleys, but there... More

This was my second trip to Beijing and staying at Kelly's Courtyard was a completely different experience to staying at a typical hotel. The experience is much more personal and I really felt immersed in the real Beijing. It was always a pleasure walking into the hutongs and through the front door to our home away from home. Bob and... More

After you go down the alley, you find a charming place to stay in Beijing. We are in our mid 60's and traveled with another couple. Most people staying there were in our age bracket. Although the rooms are on the edge of the courtyard, it was very quiet and relaxing. The location is excellent and Bob, the manager, was... More

If you're looking for a modern, cosmopolitan city dwelling, this place is not for you. If you're looking for a taste of China and a homely, traditional place to stay, then look no further. Set in the 'back-streets' of a hutong, Kelly's doesn't look like much from the outside - in fact, you can hardly see its exterior. However, once... More

I didn't really know what to expect from Beijing and arriving in a small alley with a driver who doesn't speak English does feel a bit dodgy at first! However when I realised where Kelly's was situated it became clear that we couldn't drive any closer. We really were in the heart of a Hutong! The place doesn't look very... More

Kelly's isn't a 5 star hotel, but that wasn't what we wanted. Kelly's is in a Hutong (traditional alley that Beijing development is eliminating), rooms are compact (it's China, spaciousness is NOT de riguer). But rooms are well organized, each room had its own shower and loo, a wardrobe and beds were good and rooms clean. The staff was friendly... More
