Stayed at Liaoning International for 4 nights in July 2014 as part of a tour. Very comfortable rooms, large and airy - interesting twist with glass wall in the bathroom. Be aware that 5th floor is smoking floor although only slight smell outside of lifts, not in rooms. Excellent breakfast choice. Downside is that the hotel is quite a way... More

Stayed as part of tour. Had best bar of any hotel we stayed in . It was outside and staff were very attentive . Handy as a touring base but bit far out from city. Swimming pool is quite an experience . Lane swimming feels a bit municipal . Changing facilities very poor . Open to public and quite competitive... More

I stayed at this hotel with a friend as part of a package tour deal to see Beijing in December 2013. The hotel is located in the business district of Beijing, but it is a quick taxi ride to the city centre. The free WIFI provided by the hotel was super helpful. The gym and pool amenities located in the... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on business. Was upgraded to a suite and it was excellent. New rooms, top of the line furnishings, shower, view (if there was no smog), etc. Where it counts my stay was very good and I would stay here again. Areas to improve: Internet is horribly slow but that seems par for the course in... More

My wife and I stay in this hotel for 6 nights as part of a Beijing tour package in January 2014. Breakfast is good with a variety of Western and Chinese food. Although the breakfast staff could not speak English they are very courteous and friendly. Since we could speak Mandarin and were able mutually exchange information about ourselves and... More

- reception staff speaks reasonable english; - restaurants are non-english speaking; - but breakfast is reasonable; - rooms are reasonable but could do with significant improvement, like - our windows could not be properly shut and on windy days, we had draft in the room (curtains dancing); - cleaning service is on time but does only a cursory job (could... This hotel stay was part of a tour package and we stayed here for four nights. We would not have chosen it ourselves based on its location in the business district. The staff were very courteous and efficient front of house staff speak English and one or two food and beverage staff a little - but that's ok I don't... More

This was a lovely hotel but we had a very hard time communicating as their English wasn't the best. Just ordering some ice and milk for coffee for our room was a major event. And trying to order white wine with our dinner - forget it, we got red which we don't drink. We spent 6 nights in this hotel... More

Internet was less than 2KB/s even visiting Chinese websites. Called reception to fix the problem, but got transferred to different "departments" for more than 5 times and no one could do anything useful. Room is old and noisy, very poor sound insulation. Hotel is next to the railway (trains come every 5 minutes) and perhaps the busiest road (North 4th... More

While it is located next to a train station, the Liaoning's immediate surroundings are not the most interesting. To the front, you will find the highway, to the sides, the campus of a science university and the train tracks. The back is blocked off by a wall. That being said, the room are nice (with windows between the bedroom and... More
