The hotel is located in the very heart of the city, what is a real advantage. Rooms are clean and cosy. Breakfast avarage. The big disadvantage is that nobody in the reception spoke any English. It makes travelling much more difficult if you have no support in the reception desk... Usually there were 3-4 people and nobody able to help... More

The place is good for the price, however the service is pretty bad. Staff do not speak any english nor do they even try to help you. If you are going to Beijing as a tourist I think its better to stay somewhere where staff can tell you where to go and give you directions etc. On the other hand... More

The hotel is in itself average. It's ok. Good location but the hotel is average. It's alright if you just need a base for a night or two. The big problem I have is that when we asked hotel staff at reception to book us train tickets to Xi'an and they booked us on the wrong day! We wanted to... More

We were on a tour while staying there so not sure how much our room was, but looking at the reception should have been around £100 mark. Large clean rooms with modern bathrooms, good wifi signal in the room, great location for local shopping mall, restaurants and large market near by.

Reasonable hotel, well located, but very poor service. English language skills of reception staff is very limited. Had a problem with our towels. They accused us of "making the towels dirty" - My wife got a bit of makeup on one towel. They also initially refused to change our towels the day of our last night in Beijing. They tried... More

Good location for subway and therefore access to main tourist sites of Beijing. Bakeries, for breakfast, within walking distance. Rooms fine, but nothing fancy. Overall, a suitable place for visiting Beijing.

Again, location! The hotel is not too bad. I had a good room but not clean at all. There is no service - first of all: they don't speak English or any other language, so... Location is its great gift. it is really near the Dengshikou Metro station on Baishu Hutong. Full of restaurants nearby; just two or three blocks... More

I recently stayed here while on an Intrepid tour and was really dreading it because of the bad reviews but I have to say it is an entirely adequate hotel. No, the staff doesn't speak English but not that many people do in Beijing based on my experience. The room was spacious and clean. It is nothing fancy but is... More

The reception desk is manned by decently rude people, at any time of day. They were not helpful, didn't explain the reasoning behind their actions, and generally made the experience worse. When we asked them if they could call a restaurant to make a booking, as our ability to speak Mandarin is not great, they rung up the restaurant, then... More

I swore that I'd create a trip advisor account and review this hotel during my stay in it. I've left it three months in the hope I could be more charitable but it hasn't happened. I've been travelling the world for the best part of 30 years, I've stayed in no star to five star in all manner of developing... More
